Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

"Last month I wrote an unfavorable review for the gray Breakaway bike shorts due to the fabric darkening around the crotch area when wet with sweat. Terry responded to my review to let me know that I could return the shorts even though I had worn them. Because I love the Breakaway bike shorts overall but did not like the way the gray color darkened with sweat, instead of simply returning the gray shorts I exchanged them for the same shorts in black. The black color does not show sweat like the gray does. Thank you, Terry, for informing me of your great return policy, and for making the shorts exchange process easy. I have already worn my new black Breakaway shorts twice!"

Gray breakaway short

"I wore them for the first time today on a ride, and discovered that the fabric held my sweat around the chamois/crotch area , making it look like I had wet my pants. These shorts are otherwise great, but the gray color has this fatal flaw so I will not be wearing them again."
