Flex Air Chamois:
Unique to Terry, the Flex Air offers the best shape and construction for women. Seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology provides freedom of movement on the saddle; multi-level foam padding is perforated for increased breathability; light, channeled microfiber fabric in Terry pink is antimicrobial and enhances moisture transfer; soft wing construction reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Made in Italy.

product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

PERFECT IN EVERY

"I love, love, love these cycling tights, more than any I have ever owed. Perfect weight. I like wearing full coverage in summer and these are NEVER too warm, but they are perfect for cooler fall days too. Perfect pockets. I live in my bike clothes and ride 20+ miles every almost every day. When I stop, I don’t run home and change, to do my shopping and errands, I go straight through in the same clothes. For that reason I have gotten away from traditional bike tops and gone to breathable hiking tops with pockets no in the back, so I need a place for myphone and wallet. Most holster pockets are on the exact side at the widest part of your hips, and loaded up they make my hips look ridiculously pointed. These pockets are slightly to the back, hence no bulging hips. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!"

about 5" too short. . .

"great tights but too short for me, and shorter than the last tights i ordered. i need them so i'll use them anyway, but wish you'd make a LONG version. you make petites but not longs. thanks."

— Angela D. (4/5)

Just fine.

"Can’t figure which padding is which but what I bought is fine, a bit less padding than I’d like but overall the fit is very good. I like the waist height and the length. - I’m 5’5”, 125 lbs and bought a medium. (I don’t like my tights super tight). It would be best to describe the padding in more detail."

Great cycling tights!

"I bought the gray color which I love. These have a good padding, and fabric feel. I’m looking forward to more cooler rides thanks to these tights."

Fit Not Quite Right

"I have been a Terry fan for years! My ride clothes are all "5 stars" by Terry, so I was completely surprised that the Wayfarer tights did not fit me at all. (BTW: I own two Coolweather bike tights and several pairs of Bella shorts, which are a perfect fit and have many miles of riding). The Wayfarer tight length, fabric, and pockets are all great. I was especially interested in the UPF 50+ fabric finish. The problem is the fit: the waist is loose and stretchy, and doesn't fit snug to my waist. The tights slip down from my waist, and as a result, I have to keep pulling them up. In addition, the Chamois seems too big, which is odd, as it looks the same as my other Flex Air Chamois. I am not sure what the problem is, but the pad sticks out the back like a duck tail, and when I am sitting on the bike seat, the narrower front of the Chamois slides forward and up, which is uncomfortable and doesn't provide padding where it is needed most. I decided to only wear these tights in spin class rather than on long-distance, outside rides ;-(. The UPF 50+ fabric is not needed inside, but at least I am getting some use of the tights. I really appreciate the other reviewers' comments and 5-star ratings. Although I was hoping to have the same positive experience, and am disappointed with the Wayfarer tights, I remain a loyal Terry fan!"

Perfect Cycling Pants

"Just the right amount of padding and love the pockets on either side! So comfortable!"

wayfarer bike tight

"Great! The pockets are particularly easy to use and big enough."

Works as a capri for a tall person :)

"I'm a Terry Customer Service Rep. - and avid cyclist, of course - and love to try products. On the taller side 5"7"+, I wanted to try the Wayfarer Capri because of it's 20" inseam, but the leg opening doesn't stay in place and bunches behind my knees and feels awkward. I tried cutting a little slit, though that didn't help either. The solution was using the tight length - too short to be used as a tight on me - but perfect hiked up a bit! I love the matte fabric, fit, high waist, and chamois. Sometimes it's worth thinking outside the box, and now I have another option for taller cyclists!"

— Annie (5/5)

Nice Fit

"Nice fit, the liner is comfortable and not too bulky. It has a high rise waist which works well for me since I am long-waisted. I'm experimenting with wearing tights for spin class to be more presentable since I have spider veins. I teach several different fitness classes in a row, otherwise, I wouldn't bother to try to cover up my lower legs. TMI?"

— Kim (5/5)

Okay tights

"They are not as stretchy in the waist as I would like and I think they are a little baggy in the seat as they get caught in my saddle."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Wayfarer Bike Tight suits riders who want one versatile tight for three-season use, covering everything but super hot weather. Built around all-day comfort for bike touring, it combines a higher rise, side pockets, the women's-specific Flex Air Chamois, and an elastic-free hem so you can stay comfortable over long stretches in the saddle. The next-to-skin French performance fabric offers moderate compression. If most of your riding is cool-to-mild and you value all-day wearability over a dedicated cold or hot-weather piece, the Wayfarer Bike Tight earns its place.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight is designed for everything but super hot weather, so it's better matched to cool-to-mild conditions and touring than peak summer heat. The full-length 28.5 inch inseam and next-to-skin performance fabric are comfortable across a wide seasonal range, but they aren't built to shed heat on the hottest days. If most of your riding happens in high heat and you want full leg coverage for sun protection, Terry's Soleil Bike Tight is a lightweight, UPF-rated tight built specifically for warm-weather riding.

Yes. The Wayfarer Bike Tight is specifically designed for bike touring and all-day riding. A higher rise and wide waistband add comfort and control over long hours, two open self-fabric side pockets keep small essentials within reach, and the elastic-free hem avoids the pinching that can wear on you across a full day. The Flex Air Chamois, unique to Terry and built around women's anatomy, supports comfortable time in the saddle. For riders prioritizing distance and all-day wearability, the Wayfarer Bike Tight is built for exactly that.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight offers moderate compression from a high-spandex, next-to-skin French performance fabric with a satin matte finish. That means it's supportive and holds close to the body without the maximum-compression squeeze of a race-focused tight. Riders who want muscle support and a clean fit for touring and endurance riding tend to find this level comfortable over long distances. If you're specifically after maximum compression for performance or recovery, you'd want a dedicated high-compression tight rather than the Wayfarer Bike Tight.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight uses elastic-free leg bands and an elastic-free hem for a next-to-skin fit with no gripper at the ankle. This design prioritizes all-day comfort and avoids the binding or pinching some riders dislike from gripper bands over long rides. The trade-off is that there's no gripper holding the hem in place. If you rely on a gripper leg band to keep your tights from riding up, check the fit carefully, since the Wayfarer Bike Tight depends on the fabric's moderate compression rather than a gripper.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight works across a wide seasonal range but has no thermal or brushed interior, so it isn't built for serious cold-weather insulation. For cool-to-mild conditions and touring it performs well, but once temperatures drop into genuinely cold territory you'll want more warmth. If you ride in cold conditions and want a thermal, brushed-interior tight with a chamois built in, consider the Progress Thermo Bike Tight. Riders who want a chamois-equipped cool-weather tight for fall and spring may also look at the Coolweather Bike Tight.

The Flex Air Chamois in the Wayfarer Bike Tight is unique to Terry and built around women's anatomy for comfortable time in the saddle. It's a seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology for freedom of movement, multi-level foam padding that's perforated for breathability, and light channeled microfiber fabric that's antimicrobial and moves moisture away from the skin. Soft wing construction reduces bulk at the inner thigh to help prevent chafing. For a touring tight, this chamois supports the all-day comfort the Wayfarer Bike Tight is designed around.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight carries the Flex Air Chamois and is genuinely built for all-day touring, with a higher rise, side pockets, and an elastic-free hem for long stretches in the saddle. For many riders that's enough. If you're logging longer-distance days and want a touring chamois with more padding specifically tuned for extended rides, Terry's Coolweather Tour Bike Tight offers a touring chamois variant with additional support. Choose the Wayfarer Bike Tight for versatility and moderate compression; step to the Coolweather Tour Bike Tight when distance drives your decision.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight includes the Flex Air Chamois, so it's an all-in-one solution rather than a layering piece. If you already have padded shorts you love and want an unpadded tight to wear over them for leg coverage, the built-in chamois would be redundant. In that case, consider Terry's Gravel Bike Pant, which gives you full-leg coverage without a chamois so your own shorts handle the padding. Choose the Wayfarer Bike Tight when you want a single garment that provides both coverage and women's-specific chamois comfort.

The Wayfarer Bike Tight is made from a 73% nylon and 27% spandex soft-finish fabric rated UPF 50+, so it provides incidental sun protection on top of its all-season use. With a full-length 28.5 inch inseam, it keeps your legs covered on exposed rides. That said, sun protection isn't its primary purpose; it's built for all-day touring comfort across cool-to-mild conditions. If UV protection in warm weather is your main goal, Terry's lightweight, UPF-rated Soleil Bike Tight is designed specifically for that use.
