Description
Sidi fans and bike shoe connoisseurs, here's something new to add to your kit. The elegant design of the Aertis takes recessed cleat/off-road footwear to a whole new level. Combining the comfort of premium suede with Firmor technology for extra wrap-around foot support and lateral pressure relief, this shoe proves the Italians do footwear better. Built from the last up for a woman's foot, the nylon sole balances stiffness with flexibility to power boost your pedaling and increase walking comfort, all while providing maximum grip in any situation. The toe inserts are removable and present the possibility to attach crampons to improve traction on particularly treacherous terrain. At the front, an open cell structure allows the shoe to breathe while a soft instep—made from highly technical materials—further promotes internal airflow. Whether you're an expert or a novice, we find that the Aertis is a perfect fit.

product care
To clean shoes covered in mud, dirt or road grime, wipe them clean with a damp sponge or cloth. Never clean shoes in the washing machine and do not clean them with strong detergents, abrasive pads or brushes. Regularly check cleat area for dirt or debris and replace worn cleats as needed. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Fill with newspaper to absorb any dampness and to keep the shape. If the shoes are not damp or wet after use, simply clean them with a soft brush.

An affordable pair of SIDI bike shoes!

"Sidi mountain bike shoes were so expensive and during Covid, they were hard to find. I have tried several other brands since then. Just found these at a reasonable price. Worn twice for 30 miles and these actually fit my narrow foot and give me great support. The tongue on the left shoe made a sore spot the first ride so i made sure it was smooth and adjusted correctly and that seemed to alleviate the problem. I really like the splash of coral stripe color and the tan shoe is attractive. Just hope I can keep the tan clean. I think I am going to love these SIDI's. . ."

Fits like a glove

"Fits perfectly once you find the correct size. The shoe runs small, order one size up."

Aertis MTB gravel cycling shoes

"Spent a half a day researching shoes. Finally decided to go with Terry. You have never steered me wrong. The description is spot on."

Colors in Photos Misleading

"I love the quality of the Sidi shoes and this doesn't disappoint. My main issue is the colors are not accurate in the catalog and the website. The muted orange is more like a fluorescent pink which I don't like as much as what was depicted."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes are built around a 2-bolt cleat system, the standard for off-road and mountain-style clipless pedals. This is an important detail before you buy: the Aertis is not compatible with 3-bolt road cleats. If your pedals and cleats use the 2-bolt setup common on gravel and mountain bikes, the Aertis will mount cleanly in the recessed sole. Riders running 3-bolt road pedals should look to a road-specific shoe instead, since the bolt pattern won't match.

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes are built for technical off-road terrain. Their standout feature is removable toe inserts that can be swapped for crampons, improving traction on particularly treacherous ground where you might otherwise lose your footing. This makes the Aertis a step up in terrain capability from a standard gravel shoe. If much of your riding involves steep, loose, or slippery sections where you'll be scrambling on and off the bike, the crampon-ready design gives you grip that a conventional recessed-cleat shoe can't match.

Off-bike walking comfort is a deliberate part of the Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes design. The lightweight nylon sole is stiff enough for efficient power transfer while retaining enough flexibility to walk naturally, rather than clomping on a race-rigid plate. The cleat sits recessed in the sole, so you're walking on rubber and material rather than the cleat itself. For gravel and mountain riding where you expect to dismount, hike, or stop frequently, the Aertis balances pedaling efficiency with genuine walkability.

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes suit riders tackling technical off-road and gravel terrain who run a 2-bolt clipless pedal system. They're a strong match if you value both pedaling efficiency and walking comfort, and especially if you want the option to attach crampons for traction on treacherous ground. Built from the last up for a woman's foot, the Aertis offers wrap-around support through Firmor technology and lateral pressure relief. Whether you're experienced or newer to clipless riding, the Aertis works across a range of off-road conditions.

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes use SIDI's Wire monofilament closure, paired with the Tecno-3 adjustment system that dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe. The monofilament is completely non-binding, so you get effortless, infinitely fine adjustments rather than fixed increments. For off-road riding where foot swelling and varied terrain can shift how your shoe feels, being able to micro-adjust tension across the whole foot lets you keep a secure, pressure-free fit from the toe box through the instep.

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes are built for a 2-bolt clipless pedal system, where the cleat locks your foot into the pedal. If you ride flat or platform pedals and prefer to keep your feet free, the Aertis isn't the right match, since it's designed to mount a cleat. Riders who want a shoe optimized for flat pedal grip should look for one built for platform riding rather than clipless engagement.

The Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes bring advanced features like crampon-ready toe inserts, Firmor wrap-around support, and SIDI's Wire closure, which matter most for technical terrain. If your riding is less demanding and you want a more straightforward off-road clipless shoe, the Cadet XC Bike Shoe covers the essentials for 2-bolt gravel and trail use without the crampon capability. Choose the Aertis when you specifically want that extra terrain adaptability and fine-tuned fit; choose the Cadet XC when a simpler off-road shoe meets your needs.

Breathability is built into the Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes. An open cell structure at the front lets the shoe breathe, while a soft instep made from highly technical materials promotes internal airflow. Combined with premium suede uppers, this keeps air moving through the shoe during effort. For gravel and off-road rides in warmer conditions, that ventilation helps manage heat and moisture so your feet stay more comfortable over longer stretches in the saddle.
