Gore C5 GTX Infinium bike glove

"The gloves were too short in cuff. Didn’t reach end of jersey sleeve. Sending it back"

"Like the gloves, but thought they would be a bit warmer"

"They are lightweight, comfortable and work on touch screen. Unfortunately they don't keep my fingers warm when it is below 40 degrees which was what I was hoping for"

Glove-MJK

"The gloves are great and I so appreciate having a black palm side. The one drawback keeping me from giving a 5 star rating is that I expected some padding in the palm since they are described as 'bike gloves'. That is the only improvement I recommend. Otherwise they are perfect! Good fit, excellent construction and fabrics."

— Marilyn K. (4/5)

Bike gloves?

"The fabric of these gloves is great, and the fit is spot on. It's nice to have touch-screen pads (although they could be better). But they have no padding. Zero. It's hard to call these bike gloves when they are really just gloves. I'll keep them for short rides and for running, but they are a biking fail."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove is built for foul-weather riding where wind and moisture are the main concerns. It uses GORE-TEX INFINIUM fabrics with GORE WINDSTOPPER product technology that is totally windproof, extremely breathable, and durably water resistant. That combination means it blocks wind chill and sheds light rain without the bulk of a heavy insulated shell. It is recommended for temperatures into the high 30s Fahrenheit, making it a strong choice for cool-to-cold rides in exposed or damp conditions.

The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove is engineered specifically to protect your hands without sacrificing dexterity. Box-end finger construction increases dexterity at the fingertips, and pre-shaped fingers reduce the bunching of material that makes many cold-weather gloves feel clumsy. For riders who still need to shift, brake, and operate controls precisely in cool, wet weather, the Gore C5 GTX Infinium keeps your hands protected while maintaining the feel and control you rely on.

Yes. The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove is optimized for use with touchscreen devices, so you can check a route, pause a ride, or answer a message without peeling the gloves off in cold, wet conditions. This matters most for riders who navigate or track data on longer rides, where exposing bare hands repeatedly means lost warmth and fumbling. The touchscreen compatibility pairs naturally with the glove's box-end finger construction, which already preserves fingertip precision.

The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove is rated for temperatures into the high 30s Fahrenheit. It is designed to block wind and water while staying breathable, not to deliver deep-winter insulation. If most of your riding is at or above that band, the Gore C5 GTX Infinium is well matched to your conditions. If you regularly face colder temperatures, the Windstopper Split Mitt is built for very cold conditions and is the better fit for sustained cold.

If warmth is your single highest priority, the Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove may not be the ideal choice. It is designed to balance windproof, water-resistant protection with dexterity, and it is rated for conditions into the high 30s Fahrenheit rather than extreme cold. Riders who want maximum insulation and are willing to trade some finger mobility for it are better served by the Windstopper Split Mitt, which is built for very cold conditions.

The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove stands out when you want GORE-TEX INFINIUM with WINDSTOPPER weather sealing combined with a dexterity-focused build. Its box-end finger construction and pre-shaped fingers reduce bunching, and it is optimized for touchscreen use. If you simply want a general-purpose WINDSTOPPER thermo glove rather than this specific GORE-TEX INFINIUM box-end finger design, the Multi Sport WS Thermo Glove is worth considering instead. Choose the C5 GTX Infinium when water resistance and fingertip control both matter.

The Gore C5 GTX Infinium Bike Glove uses GORE-TEX INFINIUM fabrics with GORE WINDSTOPPER technology that is totally windproof and durably water resistant while remaining breathable. That means it handles wind chill and light rain or damp conditions well without trapping sweat. It is best understood as foul-weather protection rather than a fully waterproof, sealed glove for sustained heavy downpours.
