Description
We had some big goals for our Soleil cycling glove program: deliver the best fit against the handlebars without compromising on padding comfort; provide the highest level of sun protection using the lightest weight fabric possible. Our Soleil Gloves introduce a unique 3D patterned palm that helps to eliminate excess bunching, while following the natural curves of the hand. This design concept is an effective, articulated approach to fit and results in a more ergonomic marriage with the handlebars. In addition, the palms have a center mesh panel for excellent breathability, the suede on palms wraps to the back of the hand (no side seam) for comfort on the handlebar hoods and strategically-placed padding dampens vibrations. The backs of the hands are made of our UPF 50+ Soleil sun protective fabric, light enough for 90+ degree days. Available in both short and full finger styles for complete sun protection.

Reviews

Not the quality I expected.

"Not the quality I expected. The inside seems are scratchy everywhere even the fingers."

Comfy gloves

"This is my third pair of these gloves. They tend to fall apart with use, but I love that they block the sun, are very easy to take on and off, and are very comfortable!"

Soleil short finger gloves

"Light, cool and no more numb hands."

Teri B. (5/5)

Lightweight

"I expected more padding, but they are comfortable and work well for short rides."

So far so good

"I've only had these a short time so I can't speak to the longevity. However, I like that it's sun protective and lightweight. As other reviewers have noted, there are other more padded gloves. For me, the padding and grip with these are sufficient."

50 SPF is appreciated

"The 50 SPF RATING TO PROTECT BACK OF HANDS IS EXCELLENT. The padding is not very good. Fine for a 30 mile ride but haven't tried on a longer one. Nice and light for summer riding."

The gloves of my dreams

"These gloves are wonderful for several reasons: 1) no pull off inside out to get off, 2) no velcro to snag everything, 3) super light weight, 4) cover wrist; my Terry Soleil long sleep tops overlap so no sun on wrists (I have about 15, yes, a compulsive problem perhaps). Some have said they don't have enough padding and I understand how that could be a problem for really long rides or rough terrain. That kind of riding is "in my past" (I'm 75). I'm riding in Summit County CO in the hills and these are plenty padded for my super log slogs up the hills. I also live in Houston so these will be great on hot days, they are so light weight. I'm also no longer a gonzo rider trying to do 50 miles at a time; 30-ish will do just fine. I will be buying more of these gloves and deep-sixing my older traditional gloves. Oh, thank you Terry for the gloves of my dreams!!!"

Gloves

"Comfortable and functional"

Mary P. (5/5)

great gloves!

"These gloves are wonderful! I like the finger pulls, sun protection, colorful and they fit my fat fingers! Normally Terry brand gloves are too small/tight. These are not and a large fits great. I basically forget they are on my hands! I've used them for some hiking when I happen to take my poles on a sunny day."

Pretty but not for touring

"Super comfy to put on and take off - and the Soleil material is soft against your skin. However, there is genuinely not enough padding in the palm area for use in longer rides. For my daily commute to work these are fine, but I used a pair for a 50+ mile ride and wished the majority of the time that I was wearing a different pair. Colors are fun, length is great, but be aware they aren't made for long rides."
