Chamois
Flex Air Carbon Chamois:
Unique to Terry, the Flex Air family of cycling chamois offers the best shape and construction for women. The Flex Air Carbon is our premium chamois in this line thanks to a high performance fabric made of a blend of X-Tract with special channel structure and carbonium with carbon threading. This combination results in a higher level of moisture transfer, faster drying, natural anti-static and antimicrobial properties, and a softer surface fabric. Seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology provides freedom of movement on the saddle; multi-level foam padding is perforated for increased breathability; soft wing construction reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Made in Italy.

fit notes
Note that this is a high compression fit and we suggest sizing up if you prefer lighter compression.
product care
Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

The old ones were better

"The Bella knickers have been a staple in my closet forever. This is my first pair of the Bella Prima knickers. The waist and the updated chamois are fantastic. I find that they run a tiny bit big compared to my Bella shorts, but probably not enough to size down. The leg bands are disappointing. They are not grippy enough to keep the legs in place. They are also wide enough to require the reflective trim to be moved up a few inches conpared to the older style. This combination of design flaws puts the stiff reflective tape directly behind my knees as I pedal, causing weird bunching and rubbing. Theyll be relegated to short rides only. . . what a bummer."

Good Compression

"Great compression which is what I wanted, the pad is a little too wide and stiff but they usually soften up with several washings. Great bike nicker."

Toni E. (5/5)

My favorite Knicker!

"My favorite knicker and the only one that I buy repeatedly. It is higher compression so I order one size up so not too tight in the gut. Still plenty of leg compression. Fabric is very comfortable and lasts forever. . . . too bad the chamois pad eventually wears out! I wear these a lot with wool socks when the weather is borderline cold and windy. Normally I wear bibs but the design of the Bella waist is comfor able and forgiving."

Love these

"I still have my original pair from almost 20 years ago - love these knickers"

Claire L. (5/5)

Perfect capris for my needs.

"I needed a bike Capri with compression. Talked to "Annie" (customer service rep). She is very knowledgeable about the Terry products and suggested these. Perfect for me. I have 2 pair in XS (5'3", 99-101 lbs). They have been great for my bicycle commute (13 mi 1 way), 20-30 mile 'home' rides (hilly, some steep) to our longer C&O Canal rides (about 40 miles). Not sure how many miles I have on them, but it is a LOT! I even use them when we bike around VA Beach. Chamois is getting a bit 'deflated/compressed', but the oldest pair is over 5 yrs old. Ordering another pair"

Felicity (5/5)

A bit small in the leg

"I sized up, too small in the leg. They would be great for a woman with small legs, sadly thats not me."

Product review.

"Well…. wanted to love these…. But after one season, the elastic tape or whatever it is around the calf, is completely stretched out and saggy. Looks terrible. Very disappointed."

Sandi (2/5)

Not enough padding

"I wrote in to learn which capri bike pants had the thickest padding. I ordered one of the brands suggested and it is woefully thin on padding."

Missy A. (2/5)

Great knickers!

"The fit is great. I wore these on a 63 mile ride last week and I stayed comfortable the whole time. I did order up a size as others said they ran tight. I usually wear a medium, but the large was perfect. The extra compression was also nice!"

Michelle C. (5/5)

Chamois fit is good and comfortable, but not true to size.

"Love this fit overall, however, it IS too long for a 5’1” rider. The fit is great except, below the knee, I have excessive material (length wise). I will either roll it up, or leave as is ( not aesthetically pleasing, but the rest of the fit is so good, I’m keeping. *note, this is a MEDIUM size. But I’ve found the smalls in the Prima’s are extremely tight in the waist band. I weigh 109 lbs. sizing seems off for this line of Terry."
