Bummer/Pass

"Yes, these ride up as stated by other reviewers (should have listened); took them out today for the first ride and now have a full chaf from them riding up (think underwear fit). Really wish i hadn't spent $70. on these, i'll def never use them again:("

Wrong chamois location for me

"These don’t pad me in the right place, the chamois is placed too far back. I’m sending them back."

Great for biking; the legs do ride up

"I really do love these boxers. A fan of Cyclo Briefs 2, when I saw these, I quickly ordered. I like a thinner chamois, so that is perfect and the fit is very comfortable. The legs have a non-slip band at the edge, but in spite of it, when I finished my ride, I found that the legs had slid quite far up. I had not noticed and there was no discomfort. I’ll definitely continue to ride in these but found myself wishing that they had a band like the Aria liner. I ordered a size medium and it is not too big or loose anywhere and fits my thighs snugly. In spite of that: really comfortable and no chafing, so I’ll be wearing these frequently."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

Yes, that is exactly what the Cyclo Boxer is designed for. It lives in what Terry calls "undie land" — a padded boxer-style liner worn as underwear beneath whatever you already have on. The low-profile, softly debossed elastic waistband won't add bulk when you layer, and silicone grippers at the legs hold it in place under casual bottoms, work clothes, or baggies. If you want chamois comfort without changing into dedicated cycling shorts, the Cyclo Boxer turns almost any bottom into bikewear.

The Cyclo Boxer is not a standalone fitted cycling short — it's an underwear-style padded liner with a 3.5 inch inseam meant to be worn under other clothing. It adds chamois comfort to casual bottoms, work clothes, or unpadded baggy shorts rather than replacing a fitted short. If you want an integrated chamois in a close-fitting cycling short you can wear by itself, a Terry Performance Short, Fitness Short, or Touring Short is the better direction. The Cyclo Boxer earns its place as a layering piece.

The Cyclo Boxer sits in the middle. With a 3.5 inch inseam and laser-cut legs, it offers more coverage than a brief but less than a standard liner. It's the right pick for a rider who wants a little leg coverage without the length of a full liner. If you'd prefer a shorter, brief-style option with minimal leg coverage, look at the Cyclo Brief 2.0 Bike Liner instead. The Cyclo Boxer is essentially the brief concept with legs added.

The Cyclo Boxer uses a reticulated chamois — a significantly thinner, lighter, and more breathable pad built on narrow, seamless, 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology with Terry's soft wing construction and an antimicrobial cover. This is comfort-oriented padding rather than high-volume endurance protection, so it suits commutes and shorter to moderate rides. If most of your riding involves long distances or century efforts, you'll want more chamois volume. The reticulated design prioritizes breathability and low bulk over sustained all-day saddle support.

Riders who train indoors tend to find the Cyclo Boxer a strong fit. Its reticulated foam chamois is thin, light, and breathable, with perforated fabric and an antimicrobial cover — qualities Terry specifically calls out as ideal for indoor conditions. A bulky, high-volume pad traps heat and overheats on a trainer, so the Cyclo Boxer's low-profile construction keeps you cooler during sustained indoor sessions. The same breathability makes it comfortable for warm-weather riding where padding weight would otherwise cause overheating.

The Cyclo Boxer is a thin, breathable layering liner, so it isn't the right pick for every rider. If you're planning long endurance or century rides and need more chamois volume and support, or you prefer an integrated chamois in a fitted cycling short worn on its own, consider a Terry Performance Short or Touring Short. And if you want a shorter, brief-style liner with less leg coverage, the Cyclo Brief 2.0 Bike Liner is the closer match.

Low-bulk layering is central to the Cyclo Boxer's design. It uses a low-profile, softly debossed elastic waistband that won't create a ridge under your clothing, and silicone grippers at the legs keep it in place without bunching. The reticulated chamois is thinner and lighter than a high-volume pad, so it disappears under casual bottoms, work clothes, or unpadded baggy shorts. This is what lets the Cyclo Boxer turn nearly any bottom into ride-ready bikewear without looking or feeling like dedicated cycling kit.

Riders who find a fully padded chamois too bulky often prefer the Cyclo Boxer. Its reticulated foam chamois is significantly thinner and lighter than a traditional high-volume pad, giving you comfort-oriented padding without the mass. The narrow, seamless Elastic Interface Technology construction and soft wing design keep it close and unobtrusive. It's well suited to commutes and shorter to moderate rides where you want some chamois comfort but not a thick pad. For long saddle time, though, you'd trade that lightness for more support.

The Cyclo Boxer suits warm conditions. Its reticulated foam chamois is thinner, lighter and more breathable than standard padding, the fabric is perforated to increase airflow, and the laser-cut legs are designed for comfort. On hot days, the Cyclo Boxer's low-weight, breathable construction keeps you more comfortable. Pair it under a baggy short or everyday bottom for warm-weather commutes and shorter rides where airflow matters more than high-volume cushioning.
