product care
To get the most out of your performance wear, we suggest that you wash on delicate cycle using cool temps, mild detergent, with like colors. Line dry if possible or on low heat in your dryer. Don't iron or dry clean.Remove your knickers and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Reviews

Great brown color, length and look

"I live the color and the length. The material is a bit thicker than Terry knickers. The benefit with the thickness is my cellulite does not show. They are extremely flattering for me and I have worn them often around town since I have gotten them. I have washed them twice and hang dry. I think they might be a bit hot for Florida summers. I haven’t tried these with a liner since they fit a bit snug in my rubanesque thighs. Considering buying a larger size to check out, in black or the taupe since I really like how they look on and are considering that they would be great for travel."

Comfortable bike capris!

"Very comfortable. Wore the cyclo brief underneath and fit together great. I first ordered the medium and they were way too big. Exchanged for small and they fit perfect. Love that they are not “high rise. ” I am 5’4” 140 lb, with a shorter torso. They stretch well and would probably work good to wear for other activities too, like hiking."

— Stacie K. (5/5)

I ended up returning this

"I ended up returning this item. I did not like the feel of the fabric, and the rise was too low for my fit and feel."

— Sally B. (3/5)

Joanie bike capri

"I did not like the fit of this capris. . the crotch is very short and the pants come down in the back when I bend over. The fabric has a plastic-like feel to it and is noisy."

— Valerie S. (2/5)

ticks all the boxes for me

"I wear these as my favorite everyday capri and not yet for biking. These capris have four way stretch fabric that doesn't sag. They are quick dry, very flattering, and most rare of all. . . . a secure place to store my phone that doesn't bulge or cause the garment to sag. We all tend to keep our phones with us these days, yet garment manufacturers have not caught on and keep making shallow cargo pockets with no place for secure storage. I got these in gray, which is a perfect neutral tone that goes with just about anything. If Terry made a Joanie Bike pant, I would buy it in a heartbeat"

— ARLENE R. (5/5)

Great design

"These capris look sharp and are very comfortable for multiple types of activity."

Best bike shorts ever

"Classy limes, dries fast, some adjustment possible in waist. I measured my dimensions to get the right size. I had been wearing yoga tights for riding. I rode in these with and without a liner. I even swam in a swimming hole with these on as a swimst. All iterations are great. I will wear these around town."

— Rachel L. (5/5)

Comfortable and stylish

"The material is light, comfortable and stretchy and these are dressy enough for town. I definitely wear them, but there are a couple of drawbacks. As other reviewers have mentioned, the back pockets are placed weirdly low, so it's impossible to use them to hold anything while riding. Also, on me, these are knee-length shorts, not capris. I wish they came in a longer length. I'm 5'9", 140#."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is padless by design, meaning it has no built-in chamois. Riders who want on-bike cushioning should pair the Joanie Bike Capri with a separate liner short underneath. This approach suits riders who like choosing their own padding grade and who want a capri that works both on and off the bike. If you'd rather have cushioning built in at a similar below-the-knee length, a knicker with an integrated chamois such as the Bike Knicker is a better match.

The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is best for riders who want a streetwear-style, below-the-knee capri that moves easily from the bike to everyday activities. Its 17 inch inseam hits just below the knee, and the woven fabric reads more like casual outdoor wear than a performance kit. It suits casual, multi-activity riders who prefer to supply their own liner for padding. Riders focused on long endurance rides with built-in cushioning or a compression fit will be better served by a dedicated performance knicker.

Yes. The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is designed to transition from activity to activity and season to season, so it works well as everyday wear beyond cycling. Its woven, streetwear-style construction and below-the-knee 17 inch inseam give it a casual look that doesn't read as cycling kit. For riders who want one versatile bottom for errands, walking, and casual rides, the Joanie Bike Capri fits that cross-activity role, especially when paired with a liner for the ride itself.

The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is made from a 92% polyester and 8% spandex all-way stretch woven fabric that is water and dirt repellent. That makes the Joanie Bike Capri a practical choice for variable outdoor conditions, shrugging off light moisture and trail grime both on and off the bike. Riders who ride in changeable weather or mix cycling with other outdoor activities tend to appreciate a bottom that handles damp or dusty conditions without soaking through.

Because the Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is padless, pair it with a separate liner short that carries the chamois. This lets you match the padding to your ride: a comfort-grade liner for shorter, casual outings, or a more supportive liner if you log regular miles. The advantage of the Joanie Bike Capri is flexibility, since you control the chamois grade rather than being locked into a built-in pad. Riders who'd rather not manage a separate liner should look at an integrated-chamois knicker instead.

Choose the Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride if you want a casual, water- and dirt-repellent capri you can wear off the bike and pair with your own liner. If your priority is on-bike comfort with an integrated chamois at a similar below-the-knee length, the Bike Knicker with its touring-grade chamois is the better fit for longer, padding-dependent rides. The decision comes down to whether you value everyday versatility and liner choice, or built-in cushioning engineered specifically for time in the saddle.

The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride is less ideal if you want an integrated chamois, a performance compression fit, or built-in padding for long endurance rides. Its woven fabric and padless design favor casual, multi-activity wear over dedicated saddle time. Riders logging long distances who need maximum chamois support should look at the Bike Knicker, while those wanting a baggy look with a bundled liner included may prefer the Vista BTK Bike Knicker. The Joanie Bike Capri earns its place as a versatile, off-bike-friendly option.

The Joanie Bike Capri from Club Ride offers a semi-fitted, streetwear-style look with a 17 inch inseam that hits just below the knee, but comes padless, so you supply your own liner. If you like the casual, non-kit aesthetic but would rather have a liner bundled in, the Vista BTK Bike Knicker is worth considering since it offers liner-included variants. Both suit riders who prefer casual coverage over a performance look; the difference is whether you want to manage padding separately with the Joanie Bike Capri or have it handled for you.
