product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Questions & Answers

The Roam Tech Bike Pant is unpadded by design. Rather than relying on a fixed chamois, it has zippered ankle openings that make it easy to add a padded liner or knee pads of your own. This suits riders who already have a liner they trust, or who want the flexibility to pad up for a gravel ride and go padless for a casual outing. If you want an all-in-one tight with a built-in chamois for cool-weather riding, the Coolweather Bike Tight would serve you better.

The Roam Tech Bike Pant is made from a wicking, water-resistant fabric built for trail moisture, dust, and light conditions. That protects against splashes and damp trail surfaces, but it is not the same as a fully waterproof shell and won't hold up to sustained rain. If most of your riding involves prolonged wet weather, a truly waterproof pant like the Everyday Hydro Bike Pant or the Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is the better choice for staying dry.

The Roam Tech Bike Pant is for riders who want one versatile pant that works across gravel rides, travel days, commutes, and casual meetups with friends. With all-way stretch, a wicking water-resistant fabric, and a tapered fit that stays clear of your drivetrain, the Roam Tech Bike Pant moves comfortably whether you're biking or hiking. It's especially well suited to riders who want to add their own liner or knee pads and value a piece that reads as everyday wear off the bike.

Yes. The Roam Tech Bike Pant is explicitly built to double as a travel pant and a casual hangout pant, not just a cycling-specific layer. Its stylish tapered fit blends in with everyday attire, and two ample pockets stash your essentials wherever you go. The 31 inch inseam and relaxed cut mean it doesn't signal cycling the moment you step off your bike, making the Roam Tech Bike Pant a practical choice for riders who want their gear to carry through the rest of the day.

The zippered ankle openings on the Roam Tech Bike Pant let you slip the pant on and off easily over shoes or layers, and they make it simple to add a padded liner or knee pads underneath. Because the Roam Tech Bike Pant is unpadded, these zippers are central to how you customize it: add a chamois liner for longer gravel days, or knee pads for rougher trail sections, then strip back down for casual wear. It gives you control over how much protection you carry.

The Roam Tech Bike Pant has minimal compression. It's designed as a relaxed, casual pant with all-way stretch for freedom of movement, not as a compressive performance layer that supports your muscles on hard efforts. Riders who want muscle support and a close performance fit for intense or long road rides should look to a compressive tight such as the Breakaway Bike Tight instead. The Roam Tech Bike Pant earns its place when comfort, versatility, and an easygoing fit matter more than compression.

The Roam Tech Bike Pant is less ideal if you need an integrated chamois, true waterproofing, or compression support. If you want a built-in chamois for cool-weather rides, consider the Coolweather Bike Tight. If you ride in sustained rain and need a genuinely waterproof shell, the Everyday Hydro Bike Pant or Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is the better fit. And if you want a similar unpadded trail and gravel pant with a different fabric feel, the Vista Trail Pant is worth comparing against the Roam Tech Bike Pant.

The Roam Tech Bike Pant uses a wicking, water-resistant fabric that sheds light moisture, dust, and damp trail conditions while staying breathable and stretchy for all-day movement. A dedicated waterproof pant like the Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant seals out sustained rain but trades some of that casual, versatile feel. Choose the Roam Tech Bike Pant if you want a do-everything gravel and travel pant for mostly dry and lightly wet conditions; choose a waterproof pant when staying dry in real rain is the priority.
