Description
The Liberator Race is a unique saddle in the Terry line in that it appeals to both male and female riders. It also defies categorization since it falls between performance and touring with more padding than a race saddle but less mass and narrower mid-section than a touring saddle. It has a higher rear platform and more of a dropped nose than other Terry saddles so it's ideal for strong power riders with lots of sensitivity up front. Longer distance endurance riders have raved about this saddle's particular shape and level of comfort.

Just not for Me

"The quality and construction of this saddle is first rate!!!! It is very well made. Comparable to some of the highest end saddles that I have tried. That is the basis of my rating. However, my anatomy did not tolerate it very well. Will have to continue looking to find something that does fit me."

Unfortunately, not for me

"I bought this saddle to help with chaffing - unfortunately it did not work out at all for me. I chaffed {big time!} and for me it is way too hard. I understand that with a new saddle it can take time to get used to it - but it was so bad for me, after two rides {about 40 miles each} I had to send it back"

I am slowly replacing all

"I am slowly replacing all the saddles on my four bikes with the Liberator Race Saddle. This is my third. I ride 4000-5000 miles per year and find them comfortable and durable."

Just right!

"Good fitting bike saddle!"

2nd One

"First one lasted 26 years of year round riding 3 to 5 times a week. This new one feels identical. Perfect. Lasts a long time."

A Good Choise If You Like A Long Saddle

"This saddle did not work for me. It was too long and I could not find my sweat spot. I did learn that a shorter saddle works best for me. I have since ordered another saddle with a shorter nose, the Corta. Thats seems to be working much better."

Good

"New to long rides - and this saddle is better than the older two I had. Emailing w/customer service about my issues w/other saddles was great, suggestion about this one is working out OK so far!"

Liberating Saddle!

"Love this saddle. Bought right before a cycling vacation and only got to try it out on 2 short 16 mile rides before the trip. Brought my old saddle on the trip but didn't have to use it because the Liberator Race Saddle was so comfortable. No saddle soreness even after an 80 mile and 60 mile - ride back to back."

Liberated from Nerve Pain

"I had a saddle that I loved for about 8 years, then suddenly I was experiencing acute nerve pain in my groin that would then shoot down my leg during rides over an hour. Not optimal when riding. I figured out where the pain was coming from, tried another saddle and then went to Terry's website, which recommended the narrower Liberator Race Saddle. I gave it a try and the pain is gone and I've ridden it on flats and hills for at least 50 miles. I ordered this second one to go on my trainer when I'm stuck on it for an hour or more. I tried a similar but different saddle (the Raven) just to see and it was a no-go, back to being Liberated."

Perfect seat for he bike

"I brought out my Bob Jackson which still had the original racing seat on it. My how times have changes and all I could say was " how did I ever ride with this seat?" The Liberator Race seat is just perfect. I will enjoy riding my BJ so much more."
