Description
With thousands on the road, the Terry Liberator has earned its reputation as one of the most comfortable saddles for men. We recommend it to those experiencing a variety of comfort issues and are pleased to introduce a lighter, sleeker new Liberator Y Italia, handmade in Italy.

Lengthy rides or touring where body position is slightly more upright requires saddle that's anatomically supportive and has a higher degree of comfort. We designed the Liberators with a wider rear for support of sit bones, a large cutaway through the center and a relief channel off the back for pressure relief against the perineal area and some much needed air flow down below. The combination of the ergonomically shaped rear paneling and durable Dura-tek cover reduces contact with stitching and creates a soft landing pad that prevents chafing.

Liberator Y Italia

"I have been riding Liberator Y saddles of one type or another for over 10 years. They are consistently the most comfortable saddles I've ridden for rides of 1-4 hours duration. The Y Italia is no exception. The build quality appears excellent. The only downside to the saddle is that there is not much horizontal leeway for rail adjustments. In my case, I don't need it and I can slide fore and aft on the saddle as needed for small ride adjustments when needed without effecting my comfort."

Evolved from the best into something better

"I have used five other Terry saddles since 2000. Two were worn out to the point the padding fatigued had collapsed internally. Since everyone is different, I won't pretend to know whar everyone else needs. I was halfway through a Liberator Y Elite, which was just a bit too heavy, and felt like it took three years to break in. Since the beginning of time, Terry's design ethos has been biased toward dense padding and longevity. For the most part, this worked for me, but many others did not make it through the hundreds-of-miles-long break-in period or the lack of deflection. Enter the Italia, which has just enough soft padding on top of a denser layer that it combines the best of both worlds. This saddle is comfortable on short trips as well as multi-hour high-mileage treks. It has enough underlying dense material to avoid bottoming out (sorry for the pun) but isn't hard as a rock for the first 500 miles. It's my new favorite. Of course, your results will most likely vary. I recommend this as a starting point, and I'd like to recognize Terry's generous exchange policies as a customer-oriented way to retain business."
