Reviews

Comfortable and high quality

"Craft items never disappoint! I have two of their base layers and was looking for an insulated skirt to wear over leggings. This skirt is stylish with good coverage. I'm also looking forward to wearing it over long bike tights. I always size up in Craft, which works well for me."

— Annie (5/5)

Missing Pockets!!

"I want to love this skirt with more stars however a lack of pocket/pockets is a big deal for me! Many of the features are great i. e. full side zip and the dropped backside. Not having at least 1 pocket for a cell changes the game for me personally. I would be wearing this to hike or perhaps X-country Ski besides a bike ride. I humbly suggest your design team consider this! I'm on the fence for returning it since it is nice overall."

Love it!

"Nice and warm for riding in cooler weather. Love the zippers for ease of movement."

— Marci R. (5/5)

Too small and short

"I regularly wear size medium and this skirt was too small at the waist and also too short. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 135 pounds. I returned it."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft is an insulated overskirt with no attached liner or chamois, so it is not a standalone cycling bottom. It's designed to be worn over your own padded tights or leggings, adding a layer of warmth rather than providing the cushioning you ride on. If you want real cycling function with a built-in chamois in a feminine silhouette, the Rebel Bike Skort includes an attached liner and chamois built for all-day performance riding.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft suits cold-weather riders who want a feminine layering option over tights, and multi-sport riders who bike, hike, or ski and want one cross-over piece rather than a cycling-specific wardrobe. Its insulated, wind- and water-repellent fabric and 17 inch length with a dropped tail add warmth and protection when temperatures drop. If most of your riding happens in cold conditions and you already own padded tights, the ADV Nordic Skirt earns its place as a versatile outer layer.

Yes. The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft is built as a genuine multi-activity piece, described as relatable for a variety of activities far beyond cycling. Riders who also hike, walk, or ski in cold weather tend to find it useful because its insulated, wind- and water-repellent fabric and dual full-length side zippers work across activities. If you want one layering piece that moves with you from the bike to the trail to the slopes rather than a cycling-only garment, the ADV Nordic Skirt is designed for exactly that.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft is insulated and made with wind-resistant, water-repellent fabric built specifically for when the mercury drops. It adds warmth and protection over your existing tights or leggings, and the dropped tail with a 17 inch length gives you extra coverage against cold and spray. Because it's built for cold weather, the ADV Nordic Skirt is not intended for warm-weather riding; for those conditions a lightweight cover-up like the Mixie Bike Skirt or Wrapper Bike Skirt makes more sense.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft is an insulated cold-weather overskirt, so it's less ideal if your riding is mostly warm-weather or if you want a standalone skort you can ride in without separate padded tights. Riders wanting a built-in chamois and real cycling function tend to prefer the Rebel Bike Skort, which has an attached liner. If you want a lightweight cover-up for warmer days instead, the Mixie Bike Skirt or Wrapper Bike Skirt fit that need better.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft has dual full-length side zippers, a wide waistband, and a front zippered patch pocket. The side zippers let you open the skirt for pedaling clearance and easy on-off over bulky tights, while the wide waistband helps it sit securely over layers. The front zippered pocket keeps small essentials safe. These details give the ADV Nordic Skirt a technical, multi-sport feel, which suits riders who value function and versatility over a purely feminine cycling look.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft stands out for its dual full-length side zippers, which give it a technical-outdoor look and make it easy to pull on over bulky tights. If you want a similar insulated cold-weather overskirt but prefer a cleaner silhouette without side zippers, the Smartloft Over-Skirt or SubZ OverSkirt are worth considering. All three share the same core purpose of adding a warm layer over tights, so the choice comes down to how much zippered access and functional detailing you want.

The ADV Nordic Skirt from Craft is an overskirt, not a standalone bottom, so it needs to be worn over your own padded tights or leggings. It supplies warmth, wind protection, and coverage but none of the cushioning you ride on. If you need a single garment that provides both the chamois and the feminine silhouette in one piece, the Rebel Bike Skort or Trixie Bike Skort include an integrated liner and chamois, letting you ride without a separate padded layer underneath.
