product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

— Sandy (5/5)

Favorite winter tight that does everything

"These are my go-to winter tight for everything. From dog walking to snowshoeing. Love them. (After reading reviews on the brand, I order a size up and they are perfect. )"

— Virginia D. (5/5)

Returned

"I returned these pants because I felt they were too snug (especially in the calves) to wear a layer underneath."

— Karen M. (3/5)

Nice design

"These pants will be great for winter walking or cross country skiing. The wind/water resistant fabric on the front and calves will be especially nice in windy and wet weather. The elastic in the waist was too tight. I will be replacing it. Other than that, they are great winter pants."

— Carol P. (4/5)

So warm, fit well

"So warm, excellent windproof front, fit well, ease of movement, no bulky pad With excellent Terry bicycle seats I don't need much padding"

— Sandy (5/5)

HEAVEN

"Finally, a pair of pants that match the size chart! The quality is exceptional, keeping me warm and toasty on frigid windy rides. I love them!"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is explicitly unpadded, with no chamois built in. It is designed as a wind-protective outer layer worn over your own bike shorts, so your existing padding does the comfort work while the pant handles wind and cold. This makes it ideal for riders who already have a short they like and want a warm layer on top. If you want padding built directly into one winter piece, a chamois-equipped tight like the SubZ Bike Tights is the better choice.

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is one of the warmest wind-protective unpadded pants in the range, built around an elastic windproof front panel positioned where wind exposure matters most. For riders heading out in cold, blustery conditions, that front-panel protection shields the parts of your legs that take the brunt of the wind while you pedal. It is a windproof layer rather than a fully waterproof one, so it suits cold and windy days well. For sustained rain, you would want a waterproof garment instead.

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft uses an elastic windproof front panel placed specifically where wind protection is needed most. As you ride into cold air, the front of your legs takes the most direct wind exposure, and this panel blocks that chill while the elastic construction keeps the fit comfortable through the pedal stroke. The result is targeted warmth without wrapping your whole leg in heavy fabric. Riders who feel the cold cutting through standard tights on windy days tend to appreciate this focused protection.

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is built for versatility beyond the bike. Because it is unpadded, Craft positions it for nordic skiing, hiking, and winter dog walking as well as cycling, so it moves easily between your cold-weather activities. The fabric also resists clinging dog hair, a small but real benefit for anyone layering up for a walk. If most of your winter activity is multi-sport rather than cycling-only, this pant earns its place as a single warm, wind-protective layer you can wear across them all.

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is a semi-fitted pant, not a compression tight. It has a 31 inch inseam in size medium, an opening below the knee for freedom of movement, an articulated knee shaped for pedaling, and a drawcord at the waist so you can dial in the fit. This cut prioritizes layering comfort and range of motion over the tight, muscle-hugging feel of a compression garment. Riders who want firm compression support should look to a performance-oriented tight instead of this semi-fitted style.

The ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is not the right pick if you want a standalone padded tight, since it has no chamois and relies on your own bike shorts for padding. It is also built for cold, windy conditions rather than warm-weather riding, and it is windproof rather than fully waterproof. If you want padding built into one winter piece, consider the SubZ Bike Tights. If you want a similar unpadded over-layer with more coverage and DWR water repellency, the Nuna Unpadded Pant is worth a look.

Both the ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft and the Nuna Unpadded Pant are unpadded winter over-layers meant to go over your own bike shorts. The ADV Nordic Training Pant is built around an elastic windproof front panel and is one of the warmest wind-protective unpadded options in the range. If you want more overall coverage plus DWR water repellency for days with light moisture, the Nuna Unpadded Pant addresses that need. Choose based on whether targeted wind protection or broader coverage with water repellency matters more for your rides.

If you already have bike shorts with a chamois you trust, the ADV Nordic Training Pant from Craft is designed exactly for you. Rather than replacing your padding, it layers over your existing shorts to add cold-weather, wind-protective coverage through its elastic windproof front panel. This lets you keep the chamois you know and simply add warmth when temperatures drop. Riders who prefer wearing separate shorts under a thermal layer, instead of an all-in-one padded tight, tend to find this approach the most flexible way to extend their season.
