product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Nice pant love pockets

"This first me well-I’m almost 5’10” and 145 lbs. the waistband is nice and high and flattering. Best part is the pockets. It’s not yet cold enough for me to opine on what conditions they will be warm enough but im thinking 30s to low 40s if I’m being active."

Light weight warmth

"Leg length excellent; lining not too thick so good for cool days"

— Brenda M. (5/5)

These feel really nice!

"I have not used these yet, so this review is based on fit and feel when trying them on. There's enough room in the seat for my biker booty without being baggy in the waist, and the fabric is wonderfully soft. The pockets will come in handy, too. Just need some cold weather to really test them out."

The Best Padless Tight!

"I finally found a padless tight that is comfortable, fits well and is not too tight around my knees. I wear these tights under my padded pants when i ride in under 20 degree weather. They are perfect, perfect, perfect!!"

Payless tight

"Great fit"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight is intentionally chamois-free, which is central to how it works. Without built-in padding, it moves freely for walking, hiking, and errands, and it layers cleanly over a cycling short when you want chamois protection on the bike. If you need a single garment with padding for longer or unsupported rides, the Padless Hi-Rise Tight shouldn't be your only bottom. For cool-weather riding with a built-in chamois, the Coolweather Bike Tight is the better choice.

Off-bike use is a core part of the Padless Hi-Rise Tight's design. For riders who want one bottom that spans several activities, the chamois-free construction keeps movement unrestricted for walking and hiking, while the clean athletic silhouette reads as everyday wear rather than cycling kit. Deep, stretchy, mesh-lined side pockets stow a smartphone or snacks, and built-in UPF 50+ sun protection covers sun-exposed activity. It's as at home on a backcountry hike or fat bike ride as it is running errands.

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight suits riders in cool to moderate conditions. Its soft brushed interior locks in body heat, keeping you cozy across a range of cool-weather activities and warm enough to wear solo or layer over shorts. It isn't built as a deep-winter thermal, though. If most of your riding happens in genuinely cold weather, the Padless Winter Bike Tight uses thermal construction for meaningfully more warmth and is the better fit for those conditions.

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight is for riders who want full-length coverage that reads as athletic wear rather than cycling kit. With a 28.5 inch inseam, a high and wide comfort waistband for full core coverage, and minimal compression, it gives a fitted tight silhouette without the squeeze or technical look of a performance cycling tight. Chamois-free construction, functional pockets, and UPF 50+ sun protection make it a natural pick for cool-weather activity, layering over shorts, and multi-use days on and off the bike.

The difference comes down to what the garment signals and how it fits. The Padless Hi-Rise Tight offers a fitted full-length silhouette with minimal compression and no chamois, so it presents as general athletic wear instead of a race suit. That lets you move between the bike, the trail, and everyday errands without looking like you're in cycling kit. Riders who want a single-garment cycling solution with built-in padding and more compression will be better served by a chamois-integrated tight like the Coolweather Bike Tight.

Layering over cycling shorts is one of the main reasons riders choose the Padless Hi-Rise Tight. Because it's chamois-free, you get your padding from the short underneath while the tight adds full-length leg coverage, warmth from its soft brushed interior, and UPF 50+ sun protection on top. The high, wide waistband sits comfortably over a short's waistband, and the fitted silhouette layers without bulk. It's a flexible way to extend a warm-weather short into cooler conditions.

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight earns its place when you want unpadded, full-length coverage for cool to moderate activity. It's less ideal in a few cases. If you want a single garment with a built-in chamois for cool-weather riding, consider the Coolweather Bike Tight. If you need true thermal warmth for cold weather, the Padless Winter Bike Tight is built for it. And if you'd rather have a relaxed pant silhouette than a fitted tight, the Gravel Bike Pant is the more natural fit.

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight includes deep, stretchy, mesh-lined side pockets designed to hold a smartphone, snacks, or small essentials securely. These functional pockets are part of what makes it work across activities, from fat biking to backcountry hiking to everyday errands, since you can carry what you need without a bag. Combined with its chamois-free construction and non-cycling-specific look, the pockets reinforce the tight's role as a genuine multi-use bottom rather than a single-purpose cycling garment.

The Padless Hi-Rise Tight has a fitted silhouette with minimal compression, so it holds a clean tight shape without the firm squeeze of a performance cycling tight. The high and wide comfort waistband covers the core and stays put without digging in, which suits riders who want full coverage and a streamlined look rather than muscle support. If you specifically want strong compression, a performance cycling tight will serve that need better, but for comfortable all-day wear this fit is deliberately relaxed.
