Not exactly like the picture

"Not exactly like the picture . my least favorite of my stash of 10. would really like to send it back. let me kniw hiw. please. Boni 5092648200 or boni Fletcher at gmil . com"

Super comfortable and cute to boot!

"I love this shirt! It's the right weight when you need an extra layer when you're just starting out on your morning ride. I bought it for a bike trip to Europe, and I plan to wear it around town as well. One comment for fit - I usually wear an extra small. But the XS arms were a bit tight (and I have thin arms), so I exchanged it for a small. It's a little loose in the mid section, but that accommodates a shirt underneath. I think the arms are more of a fitted style while the body is a more relaxed style."

Pretty Print but Fabric Feels Odd

"Don't like the feel of the fabric, runs a bit small in the shoulders but sleeve length is fine."

— Suzanne S. (3/5)

Soleil Free Flow Top

"Very comfortable; have received many compliments on it."

— Minda B. (5/5)

Arm holes are tight, so

"Arm holes are tight, so fabric gathers at bottom of armhole above bust. Other Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Tops do NOT do this. . ."

— Sarah S. (2/5)

Love this shirt

"I play pickleball in this shirt. I sweat a lot and somehow this shirt remains comfy! The Soleil fabric is amazing and I’m so happy to use less sunscreen."

— S M. (5/5)

The sleeves are too short!

"The sleeves are too short! The greatest thing about these tops was the sun protection on your wrist/upper hand and on this model--that is gone. Please make the free flow tops (without pockets) the same sleeve length as your other wonder shirts. Please and thanks!"

— Kathryn M. (3/5)

So lightweight

"Love the light weight feel. I use this shirt as a swim top for UV protection. Love the relaxed fit."

— pandora P. (5/5)

Sleeves too short and narrow

"I have several Soleil long sleeve shirts including another flow style one. Despite buying the same size as usual, the sleeves on this shirt are about 1. 5” shorter and the circumference of the sleeves tighter than the others. For a thin person with long arms, this change was a deal breaker for me. I *love* my other soleil long sleeve shirts but I am not willing to pay so much for a shirt with sleeves that are too short and too tight. Since it is a flow style shirt, the body is quite loose on me already, so buying a size up was not an option. As such, I returned this shirt."

— Kristine S. (1/5)

Another lovely pattern

"This is probably my seventh or eighth Soleil top. I wear them bike touring and hiking and love the fabric, the light weight, and the bright colors. I wonder how much I’ve saved on sunblock for my arms over the years? Highly recommend."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top does not have rear pockets. Its rear pocket panel is deliberately removed to reduce bulk when layering under a vest or mid layer. This makes it a strong choice as a baselayer or rashguard, but less suited to riders who rely on on-bike storage for food, keys, or a phone. If you want full arm coverage with pocket storage, the Soleil Flow Long Sleeve Bike Top or Soleil Long Sleeve Bike Top are better matched to that need.

The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is best for women who want one piece that moves across activities. Built from UPF 50+ micropoly spandex, it works as an ideal rashguard for water sports as well as for cycling, and a choice of sophisticated prints makes it appropriate for non-sport wear too. Riders who want sun coverage without bulk, who layer under a vest, or who value versatility over dedicated on-bike storage will find the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top earns its place in a mixed-activity wardrobe.

Yes. The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is built for multi-sport use beyond cycling. Its UPF 50+ micropoly spandex construction makes it an ideal rashguard for water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, or beach days, while the same sun-blocking fabric serves you on the bike. The relaxed, pocket-free design expands the activity horizon rather than tying the top to a single sport. If your days blend riding with water or outdoor activities, the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is designed to carry across all of them.

The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is made from UPF 50+ micropoly spandex, carrying over the sun-protective fabric of the Soleil program. Full-length sleeves give consistent coverage across your arms, which matters most on long, exposed rides or open water where reapplying sunscreen is impractical. For women who ride or play in strong sun and prefer fabric coverage over lotion, the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top delivers reliable protection without feeling heavy, since the fabric is lightweight and breathable rather than insulating.

Choose the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top if you want a looser fit and a piece that works beyond cycling. Removing the rear pocket panel reduces bulk for clean layering under a vest or mid layer, and the relaxed cut through the waist and hips plus sophisticated prints make it appropriate for non-sport wear. If instead you want full arm coverage with on-bike storage for a dedicated cycling top, the Soleil Flow Long Sleeve Bike Top or Soleil Long Sleeve Bike Top keep the rear pockets you'd be giving up here.

The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top has a relaxed fit, with extra room through the waist and hips. It offers a looser-fitting alternative for riders who don't want a close, race-style silhouette and prefer freedom of movement across activities. This relaxed cut also suits non-sport wear and easy layering. Riders who want a more body-skimming cycling-specific fit may prefer a fitted Soleil long sleeve option, but if comfort and a less clingy feel matter to you, the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is designed around that preference.

Yes. Removing the rear pocket panel from the Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top means less bulk when you wear it under a vest or mid layer, which is exactly why it layers cleanly. The UPF 50+ fabric adds sun protection as a baselayer, and the relaxed fit leaves room to move without bunching.

The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is not the right fit if you need rear pocket storage while riding, since it is deliberately pocket-free to serve as a baselayer and rashguard. Riders who carry food, a phone, or tools in jersey pockets should look to the Soleil Flow Long Sleeve Bike Top or Soleil Long Sleeve Bike Top instead. And if you need warmth for cold-weather riding rather than warm-weather sun coverage, a thermal option like the Corso Thermal Bike Jersey is the better match. The Soleil Free Flow Long Sleeve Top is built for sun, versatility, and layering.
