product Detail
• 70% polyamide/30% elastane
• wide, shaped, mesh waistband wicks and keeps you comfortable under top layers and jacket
• high compression fit for all-day performance, even in the dead of winter
• raw-cut leg endings with zippers at outer ankles for on/off ease
• reflectivity at calf
• Total Comfort chamois: continuously variable closed-cell urethane foam padding with up to 19 mm thickness
product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Tight

"I have been pleased with all the shorts/capris/tights (size M) I have ordered from Terry, but these really missed the mark. The cut is so narrow that I struggled to get them pulled up. I was excited for the mesh waistband but it has a seam that cuts right through the lower abdomen area and is extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say'they went back and I will avoid purchasing the SPORTFUL brand again."

Terry brand works better for me

"Didn't fit well'seat/hips not snug enough and legs a little too long (5'6', 104#). I'm usually XS but this brand indicated S would be good and no XS option. I've returned them and will order Terry instead."

poor sizing too many different

"poor sizing too many different materials on sections weak top material awful tight for serious rider"

I have returned the item

"I have returned the item and am still waiting for my refund."

I returned these as well

"I returned these as well as the other items in the purchase. I included a list of reasons with the returned package."

Not as good as Terry's own brand

"I bought these at the same time as Terry's own Winter tights and I don't like these nearly as much. I knock a point off because they dont fit me well - I think they would fit people with much longer legs and slimmer torsos. But that doesn't mean they wouldn't fit you. I knock off another point for not being great in bad weather. The warm material starts below the knee. This leads to cold knees, and the material doesn't seem to shed rain. I do like the padding which is excellent quality (although a little bulky) and the reflective features are good. Overall though I far prefer Terry's own brand tights and regret that I have worn these too much to return."

— Eilidh B. (3/5)

Very warm

"These tights are warm and comfortable. They do run a bit short, below my waist. Have to really pull to bring them up higher. The pad is a bit different but am getting used to the fit"

— Sandra C. (5/5)

Total comfort right

"These are so comfortable you don't know you're wearing them! Rode in about 45 degree with wind and never felt cold."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Total Comfort Bike Tight is built for riders tackling freezing temperatures and dead-of-winter conditions. Made from a heavyweight, brushed stretch fabric with 4-needle stitching, it ranks among the warmest tights available, holding insulation even on the coldest rides. If your winter cycling means genuinely sub-freezing air, biting wind, and short daylight, the Total Comfort Bike Tight gives you the thermal protection to keep riding when most tights would fall short.

Yes. The Total Comfort Bike Tight features wind- and waterproof paneling below the knee, placed exactly where your legs catch the most road spray and headwind. The lower leg is the most exposed point on a cold ride, so this paneling adds real weather protection beyond insulation alone. Riders who deal with slush, wet roads, and cold wind in winter find the Total Comfort Bike Tight protects the area that usually gets soaked and chilled first on other tights.

Likely, yes. The Total Comfort Bike Tight is engineered specifically for freezing, dead-of-winter conditions, so riders in mild or cool 40-60°F weather tend to find it runs too warm. If most of your riding sits in that cool-but-not-freezing range, the Coolweather Tour Bike Tight is a better match, offering chamois comfort and moderate insulation without overheating. Save the Total Comfort Bike Tight for the genuinely cold days when maximum warmth is the priority.

The Total Comfort Bike Tight uses the Total Comfort chamois, built from continuously variable closed-cell urethane foam up to 19mm thick. That is a very substantial, cushioned pad aimed at long hours in the saddle. For riders logging the longest distances in cold weather, this depth of padding matters because fatigue and pressure build over time. The Total Comfort Bike Tight pairs that cushioning with its winter warmth so comfort holds up on endurance rides, not just short outings.

The Total Comfort Bike Tight is positioned for the longest distances in the cold. It combines a high compression fit for all-day performance with the Total Comfort chamois, which uses closed-cell urethane foam up to 19mm thick for cushioning over extended hours. Riders who spend serious time in the saddle through winter get both the warmth and the comfort to sustain it. If your cold-season riding means endurance miles rather than quick spins, the Total Comfort Bike Tight is built for exactly that.

The Total Comfort Bike Tight has zippers at the outer ankles with raw-cut leg endings, chosen for easy on and off rather than the elastic gripper band found on many tights. This matters when you're pulling tights on and off over cold-weather socks, shoes, or warmers. If you specifically prefer a gripper band to hold the leg in place, keep that in mind, because the Total Comfort Bike Tight is designed around the zipper closure instead.

Both the Total Comfort Bike Tight and the SubZ Bike Tights deliver warmth for dead-of-winter riding. The Total Comfort Bike Tight is engineered as a top-tier piece with wind- and waterproof paneling below the knee, a high compression fit, and the Total Comfort chamois up to 19mm thick, and it carries a premium price as a result. If you want serious cold-weather warmth at a lower price point, the SubZ Bike Tights are the more budget-conscious choice while still handling freezing conditions.

The Total Comfort Bike Tight suits serious riders who are particular about their equipment and want the warmest, most capable option for freezing winter rides. It's for cyclists logging long distances in the cold who value wind- and waterproof lower-leg paneling, a high compression fit, and deep chamois cushioning, and who prioritize top-tier winter performance over price. If you ride through the coldest months and refuse to compromise on comfort or warmth, the Total Comfort Bike Tight is engineered for you.
