Description

The Power Bike Short gets its name from the high elastane content of the special fabric we've sourced from Italy. It has more compression than our other bike shorts and is slightly longer so it supports the entire hamstring and quadricep muscles. Along with a UPF 50+ rating, it also has a wide v-front waistband designed to provide extra core support. The fit is tighter but the result is enhanced support and reduced muscle fatigue. The Power Short is also outfitted with a deep pocket on the right leg and the latest in soft, laser-cut leg bands that hold securely without digging or pinching. It comes with Terry's best Flex Air Chamois with soft wing construction for the ideal balance of padding, ventilation and low bulk.

Flex Air Chamois:
Unique to Terry, the Flex Air Chamois offers the best shape and construction for women. Seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology provides freedom of movement on the saddle; multi-level foam padding is perforated for increased breathability; light, channeled microfiber fabric in Terry pink is antimicrobial and enhances moisture transfer; soft wing construction reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Chamois is made in Italy.

Note that this is a high compression fit and we suggest sizing up if you prefer lighter compression.

Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Not for me

"I ordered a M based on reviews even though I am a S typically in Terry bike shorts. They were way too tight. That and the chamois was so thin I wasn’t sure it would stand up to 50+ mile bike rides which is what I was buying them for. Sent them back."

Perfect fit and performance.

"These are the best made and most comfortable bike shorts I've ever worn and over 40 years I've worn a few. Leg bands keep them in place but don't pinch or feel tight. The padding is perfect thickness and dimensions. I love the high waist in back and the thigh pocket. They wash well and dry in about a day hung on a hanger in the house. They are certainly not cheap but I think they will last virtually forever with good care. With many bike shorts at some point in the ride you think about your shorts and something 'not right'. I just ride and needn't think about adjusting the shorts."

Power Short didn't fit me

"I can't write a real review because I was unable to wear the power short. I ordered a small, which is what usually fits me in Terry items. I could not get them on at all. The same order contained a spinnaker capri, also size small, and they fit just fine. I am 5'5" and weigh around 127."
