Description

When not in action on your bike, the Venture gracefully shifts into a great hiking, pickleball-playing, international travel short. Years of fit refinement on other predecessors led us here. It’s always tricky with a fitted waist and woven fabric but we’ve engineered a low profile adjustment system, applied Terry shaping to accommodate a cyclist’s unique muscle structure, finessed the length and made it in two different fits (regular or relaxed). Next, we loaded it up with nicely organized pockets and added a full gusset through the crotch to avoid seam chafing.

Comes with our Universal liner for all around versatility.

Missing a pocket!

"I have several pairs of Metro shorts that are now discontinued. These are the closest alternative. Be aware, these in a "regular" are a little shorter in the rise than the Metros. But mostly, I am mourning the loss of the magnetic closure phone pocket - a unique and essential feature of the Metro shorts. These shorts are long enough to accomodate a pocket on both legs - please bring it back! In the meantime, I will not completely retire my trusty frayed and faded Metro shorts."

Love these shorts

"These are the best fitting shorts I've ever purchased from Terry! I waited for the price to drop based on the reviews, so I bought two- one in each color - and it's a shame, because Terry deserves full price for these shorts! I am 5' 8-1/2" and weigh 136 pounds - tall and slender- and I wear a size medium, which fits perfectly. I did not have to tighten the cinches on the sides. I love the colors and the way they look on me. Even with the liner on, they fit perfectly."

Great shorts but waistband is not adjustable

"I love the color (dark blue), quality and style of these bike shorts. Having read the reviews, I thought about sizing down, but I'm glad I didn't. My usual size (S) fits well, but the outer shorts are a bit loose in the waistband, which make them less comfortable to wear (especially without the liner shorts). I have the Metro shorts as well, and always wear them with a belt. The picture of the Venture short is a bit misleading: it looks like the waistband was adjustable (velcro fastener or buckle), but unfortunately it's only decorative (with an elastic band on the back). The "buckles" cannot be opened, so there is no possibility to replace the elastic band or use a belt. Please prioritize practicability in the design of future models of these shorts."

Didn’t work for me

"I ordered a medium based on my measurements and these shorts seemed generously sized. Definitely too long for me and just big all around. I had to return them. I’m 5’5”, 120 lbs."

A great bike short

"I love these bike shorts. They are lightweight, comfortable, made well and fit great. They also have many pockets that are hard to find in ladies bike shorts. I will also use them, without the pad, as regular shorts."

Nice quality shorts

"The material and length are great. The padding is not very thick, I may wear different liners for longer rides."

Great fabric!

"Love these shorts the fabric is wonderful but the fit is a little small in the waist."

Need to make size charts accurate.

"Size chart is same for relaxed and regular fit. Ordered xl relaxed fit as that’s what I wear in metro but this one was baggy. Ordered regular hope it fits better."

XS didn't fit well

"Appear to be well made, but didn't fit well at al. I am 5'4", 96 lb. Size small was too large; XS fit around the waist, but the seat, thighs, legs were not just baggy, but fit poorly. Guess I'm not the right body shape for these."

Love the idea of this short

"I love the short, however I am in a trial period. I normally wear a S, and that is what I ordered. The shorts are a bit tight on my thighs, but not too tight. I find with the liner in they are snug, but fit perfectly without the liner. My sense is the M will be overall too large. I am hoping that as I wear them they will open up a bit."
