Long user of the Butterfly
"Long user of the Butterfly saddle, I needed to replace an old one and like the bigger cut-out and shape. Padding is similar to my old ones but still great."
For nearly three decades, Terry has been working with all levels of riders to solve all types of saddle comfort issues. Introduced in 1999, the Italian-made Butterfly represents the best in all that research and development.
The Butterfly Ti has a textured leather cover that will wear beautifully over time and keep you solidly planted on the saddle. Wider in the rear than typical race saddles for good support of a woman's sit bones; completely cutaway through the nose and mid-section, making it flexible and comfortable against soft tissues; low profile, flat top with injection molded foam that's stiff enough to give you more power for pedaling. "I had a torn hamstring and needed to find a saddle for both my road bike and ebike that would provide support and comfort under the sit bones, but also but reduce friction on the hamstring when pedaling. I tried out six different saddles - and the Butterfly Ti was the clear winner. Provides nice padding for the sit bones when riding a bit more upright and the slightly narrower width design forward of the seat put less strain on my hamstring. Thanks to Customer service at Terry - for your support and advice. You are the best!"
"I first bought this saddle over 5 years ago and it made riding so much more comfortable that I got one for my other bike. I just bought a new bike so had to buy another! The amount of padding and the size of the cut-out are just perfect for me."
"At my tender age, 68, the nose on this saddle just does not work. It hurts the tenderest of parts. I am going back to the full split nose saddle."
"I have been using the Butterfly Ti Saddle on all my bikes for years. It is the best saddle for my bum. I never have any issues!"
"This is my fourth or fifth Bitterfly Ti Saddle purchase! I have this on all my bikes. What can I say, it's the most comfortable saddle I've been on."
"Because this is the best saddle for me I will buy yet another. However, their quality has definitely dropped off. The nose is cracking and splitting in the same place. It is still ridable. As my bikes do not sit outside or get ridden in the rain a lot I attribute this to sweat. As a data point, I typically ride 5000 miles over the summer."
"I had an other Terry seat and loved it. It's still on the old bike. I decided to get a new bike and it needed a new saddle. First it looks great, but it's how it feels. So supportive and I have only ridden up to 40 miles and no problems. I did that without even thinking about the seat. I think it's a sign of a great seat. Love it."
"I have always had good luck with Terry saddles and the Butterfly Ti is no exception. Highly recommend for passionate cyclists."
"I have tried to make this saddle work with many adjustments--it is made well and in the first mile it feels comfortable, but I end up with very painful soft tissue. Very disappointed! I purchased the recommended seat based on "Find the Right Saddle". An expensive mistake!"
