Seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology provides freedom of movement on the saddle; multi-level foam padding is perforated for increased breathability; light, channeled microfiber fabric in Terry pink is antimicrobial and enhances moisture transfer; soft wing construction reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Chamois is made in Italy.

product care
Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Reviews

First time ordering these shorts.

"First time ordering these shorts. The waist fit fine but the legs at the bottom were way too loose. They looked like walking shorts not biking shorts. Had to return."

— Cynthia S. (2/5)

Best bike shorts ever

"I’ve worn bike shorts for over 40 years. Terry shorts blow the competition away. They are worth the price for comfort, fit, padding."

— Elaine P. (5/5)

I’ve been riding for 20

"I’ve been riding for 20 years and these shorts are my go to whenever I have a longer ride. After twice a week 30 mile rides year round these shorts have held out for more than three years. The chamois gives the perfect cushion for me and the fabric has withstood some tough treatment. I wouldn’t have needed a new pair but headed to a long bike trip with many bike to back days so figured my bottom would appreciate a new chamois."

— andrea s. (5/5)

My favorite!

"My favorite bike shorts. Great chamois. Waist is comfortable. They wear well."

— Janie A. (5/5)

Shorts

"I have several pair of Terry cycling shorts. I haven’t decided if I like the loose fit on the thigh that these have. I’ve worn one pair and they feel fine."

— Sharon R. (4/5)

Great fit

"First to great"

— Donna S. (5/5)

Not for me . . . . BUT

"These were really nice well constructed shorts. The sizing was good too. But . . . The pad was in the wrong place. When sitting on bike seat there is little padding on actual sit bones while the pad comes way up your backside. Sadly had to return. Their return process was good. I did purchase the $3 return protection."

— Pamela G. (3/5)

Nice but could use better padding for long rides

"These are nice quality shorts and fit me well. I liked them enough to buy a second pair. The chamois pad is good for 30-40 mile rides but my butt and crotch feel uncomfortable on longer rides. I did 65+ miles this past weekend and frequently was shifting positions to take the pressure off. I don’t know if there are any cycling shorts that would make a metric century ride more comfortable but I’m thinking thicker padding might help. On the plus side - Terry’s customer service is great. It’s a small company located in Vermont and they are very responsive to calls and emails."

— Barbara D. (4/5)

Comfortable shorts, nice length

"These shorts were a nice fit for me. The legs are just a tad loose but still comfortable. I’m average curvy, 5’6”, and 120 lbs. I might have gotten away with the small but am fine with the medium. I tend to be a “small and a half” with Terry brands. I found the seat padding to be adequate for my 15 mile rides."

— Rebecca R. (5/5)

Bike trip

"So very comfortable and perfect. But I thought I order the longer ones that come to knee and I opened on bike trip and the shorter ones. My bad. Very good shorts!"

— Linda S. (5/5)

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Touring Bike Short/Regular is built specifically for riders doing back-to-back riding days and loaded touring. Its tri-blended, moisture-wicking fabric is developed to keep you dry and supported across hours in the saddle, and the Flex Air Tour chamois adds padding for endurance riding. This is Terry's flagship touring recommendation, designed to hold up over consecutive days rather than a single short outing. If most of your riding spans multiple days or long distances, the Touring Bike Short/Regular earns its place.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular has an 8 inch inseam, the standard middle length in Terry's Touring Bike Short line. If you prefer more leg coverage, the Touring Bike Short/Long offers a 10 inch inseam, while the Touring Bike Short/Short provides a 5 inch option. A 9 inch plus-size version is also available. Because inseam is a real comfort variable over long rides, confirm your length preference before choosing the Touring Bike Short/Regular — the 8 inch suits riders who want a balanced, versatile coverage.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular uses the Flex Air Tour chamois, which steps up from Terry's standard Flex Air with roughly 14 percent more foam for endurance riding. It features soft wing construction to reduce bulk and chafing at the inner thigh, perforated multi-level foam for breathability, and seamless 4-way stretch construction made in Italy. This women's-specific chamois matters most when you're spending extended time in the saddle, where accumulated pressure, not a single short ride, becomes the primary comfort concern.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular is built for endurance and multi-day riding, with extra chamois padding designed for extended saddle time. If most of your riding is shorter fitness outings without an endurance requirement, you may find that padding more than you need. In that case, the Actif Bike Short, Terry's Fitness Short, is a better match for regular shorter rides. Choose the Touring Bike Short/Regular when fatigue accumulation over long distances is your real concern, not when speed and minimal bulk matter most.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular is designed around all-day and multi-day comfort, with the more padded Flex Air Tour chamois and a smartphone zip pocket for touring. If you want high performance without touring-specific features, the Bella Max Bike Short, from Terry's Performance Short line, prioritizes a race-oriented feel over touring extras. The deciding factor is what you value: riders chasing all-day endurance comfort tend toward the Touring Bike Short/Regular, while those wanting a leaner performance fit lean toward the Bella Max.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular uses a moderate compression fabric, which offers muscle support without a tight race-level squeeze. For most endurance and touring riders, that balance supports long days in the saddle comfortably. However, if you specifically want a short with no compression at all, be aware that the Touring Bike Short/Regular will feel more supportive than that. Riders who prefer a relaxed, non-compressive feel should factor this in, since moderate compression is central to how this short performs over distance.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular includes a 6 inch, smartphone-friendly zip pocket at the right hip. For touring and long single-day rides, secure storage matters because you're often far from a stopping point and want your phone accessible without a jersey pocket. This detail reflects the short's touring focus, giving riders a reliable place to keep essentials through hours of pedaling. If secure on-body storage is part of what you need from a touring short, the Touring Bike Short/Regular addresses it directly.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular combines a contoured waistband with an elastic-free front yoke, a soft woven Terry leg gripper, and flat-seam construction. The elastic-free yoke reduces pressure at the waist, the woven gripper holds the short in place while pedaling without digging in, and flat seams help prevent chafing. These details matter most on long rides, where small irritations become real problems over hours. Comfort is a core design principle here, built for riders who stay in the saddle through endurance and multi-day efforts.

The Touring Bike Short/Regular is designed and sewn in the USA at a green energy-certified facility, supporting local jobs and consistent standards in quality and fit. The Flex Air Tour chamois itself is made in Italy. For shoppers who value US manufacturing alongside women's-specific design, this reflects Terry's decades of experience building apparel for women cyclists. If domestic manufacturing factors into your decision, the Touring Bike Short/Regular aligns with that priority while still delivering touring-focused construction and chamois support.
