Chamois
Flex Air Carbon Chamois:
The same excellent shape, foam and perforation construction details as our Flex Air Chamois, but with a new high performance fabric made of a blend of X-tract with special channel structure and Carbonium with carbon threading. This combination results in a higher level of moisture transfer, faster drying, natural antistatic and antimicrobial properties and a softer, breathable surface fabric. Made in Italy.

Compare all chamois choices.
fit notes
Note that this is a high compression fit and we suggest sizing up if you prefer lighter compression.
product care
Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Waist line needs more stretch to get on, but. . .

"Going to try them still since I want to try them. As with others, I am also having problems with the waist. Does not stretch enough without sounding like I'm tearing at the waist sewing/seam. The legs are comfortably snug, but the waist!! I am 5' 7" 140 lb , 64 year old active woman. Got a bit of an old lady belly, lol, and curvy hips/rear, and muscular thighs. I give these details to help illustrate the issue. I am overall what folks call slim (was a skinny younger woman. ) From reviews, I got a large, which is something I almost never do. TERRY!!, the waist on a size large should not be impossible to get on someone like me. Really need to put a little more stretch on the waist. I guess you are building bike shorts for the thin, hip-less, butt-less younger women. I hope Terry is working on this. WAY too many reviews on various models of shorts that have gotten too small. I also had the issue with another model that I'd previously gotten in medium and when I tried to replace I had to get a large when I hadn't changed weight/size. And actually, the large has ended up to really be too loose on me. Sigh. Long enough???"

Excellent but runs large

"I have a pair of Terry knickers that I love so thought I’d try these. Love love love the high rise and construction is solid. I’ve been having silicone sensitivity with other shorts so appreciate these don’t use it. Bit long for me but I flip up the legband and it works great. I went with the suggested size of XL but they are definitely too big (I’m 5’4”, 140#, athletic build). Good for days when I want extra comfortable shorts but would size down if I buy another pair"

Way too small

"I purchased this bike short on the advice of my friends who love Terry products. I ordered a size small which is my usual size in bike shorts. But when I received the bike shorts, I couldn’t even get them over my hips. I generally wear a size small in most cycling shorts. I’m fine ordering a larger size but I’m not sure if even a medium would fit."

Holster prima bike short

"Runs small. Couldn’t get this item over my hips. Need to go 1 size larger"

Didn’t like it

"Waist too tight, small for size."

Worth every penny

"Yes they are quite pricey but dang it I love these shorts! The high waist, the high compression, the handy pockets (never buying cycling bottoms without them from now on)'so comfortable. I've worn these on double metric centuries and they've been terrific! So awesome I have three pair so far. Two smalls but I've just lost a significant amount of weight so while the small still fits it's not as 'compressy'. Right now the XS is perfect at 115 pounds and 5'3'. Waiting for a sale to buy another pair. My favorite ever."

Comfortable with convenience

"Used for a 75 mile ride. Very comfortable and the pockets gave me the security to store my identification and phone"

Linda R. (5/5)

Very disappointed with the shami.

"Very disappointed with the shami. Riding in Spain long days with lots of climbing and it's wet!! Only good for short rides in cooler weather."

Nice fit . I apprciate

"Nice fit . I apprciate the longer lenght and the mesh pockets. The pockets might be useful for route sheets and teh like."

Super nice short, but super expensive

"I've been a fan of the Hi-Rise Holster short for a while, so when this Prima version was on sale, I decided to give them a try. They are nice. Even super nice. I'm a fan of the compression, even if it makes me dance a little pulling them up. The high waist is a game changer - it's snug but still comfortable, without binding or rolling, keeping my rolls under wraps. (Pro tip: If it's rolling on your, try pulling it up higher in front.) The length is terrific for me at 5'7" but if you're shorter, they may be a bit too long. (At 190#, I find a large fits perfectly, but YMMV.) I can't speak to the new chamois yet, but it's comfortable. I hope it lasts as well as the older version. All that said, I don't know that I could justify the price bump from the Hi-Rise at full price. Super nice, but we'll see if I pony up the extra $$ for the next pair."
