Our goal with the Long Haul was to design a lightweight performance-level short that would be up for the challenge of centuries, high heat situations, international touring and gravel riding. We started from the inside out with an upgraded Flex Air Max Chamois which has an additional dual density layer of padding for more comfort without bulk. A combination of high compression fabrics and longer inseam length reduces muscle fatigue but the lightness of the overall short makes them incredibly comfortable. Minimally constructed front waist panels and laser cut leg openings held in place with a stitchless, silicone-free 10mm gripper provide a friction-free experience. Nicely integrated smartphone pocket with bonded edge; made in the USA of imported fabrics.

This multi-density approach is combined with Terry’s innovative shaping and soft wing technology. Seamless chamois with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology provides freedom of movement on the saddle; multi-density foam padding is perforated for increased breathability; light, channeled microfiber fabric in Terry pink is antimicrobial and enhances moisture transfer; soft wing construction reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Made in Italy.

Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Flex Air Max Chamois for the Win
"The Flex Air Max cushion in the Long Haul seems to be the answer to my discomfort on 30-70 mile road rides (3-6 hours). I also tried the Grand Touring but didn't find them as comfortable. I'm 5'6", about 150 lbs. , and ordered Large which fit well. I tried the XL first (reviews said to size up for compression) but found the gap in the rear waistband to be annoying. I was worried about no padding on the edges of the chamois but it worked for me. My pain is in the crotch near the nose of the saddle, and that's where there's padding, along with the main seat area."

"I ordered the correct size based on my measurements and other Terry shorts that I own. There was a huge gap on the waistband at my lower back while the rest of the shorts fit pretty normally. The leg gripper was stuck to itself when I received the shorts and it seemed like it could peel away from the fabric really easily. I used to appreciate the breathable flex air chamois that comes with Terry shorts but can’t sacrifice fit and quality for that, especially at this price."
