Super cute cover-up for my

"Super cute cover-up for my bike shorts. Nice weight and perfect fit. I bought size medium; I'm 5'3'' and weigh 130."

— Ann B. (5/5)

Super cute

"I love this skirt and bought the star dotted black underlines to go with it. Cute, comfy and sporty - perfect for a bike ride to play pickleball or stroll the streets of a charming town!"

Mixie bike skirt

"This is a gift. I haven’t given it yet"

— JoAnne W. (5/5)

I bought this to go

"I bought this to go over the regular touring short. It is cute, but the regular short is a little longer than the skirt. Looks fine, and I am happy with it - easy to cycle in, and I don't like to wear cycle shorts with nothing over them! But I would like a little longer skirt, if you are working on new designs."

— Sandra F. (4/5)

Comfortable Skort

"Wife loves the bicycle skort. It fits well and is very comfortable riding long distances."

— David A. (5/5)

Not what I thought

"I was looking for a cycling skirt that had a built-in cycling shirt with padding. The skirt arrived and was just a skirt, padding so it did not work for me. As a skirt it was fine but not what I expected from cycling shop attire."

— Shannon G. (3/5)

Darling but scratchy so it

"Darling but scratchy so it ruined my liner. Bummed"

— Nancy W. (1/5)

I mistakenly purchased this skirt

"I mistakenly purchased this skirt thinking it had a padded liner in it. It is nice material though"

— Jennifer G. (3/5)

Great Biking Skirt & Look

"/Users/CAH/Desktop/IMG_3169.jpeg Love this skirt! Made a much nicer outfit over the padded bike shorts than without the skirt. Just completed a biking trip in Spain, and everyone complemented me on the skirt!"

— Claudia H. (5/5)

Cuter In Perso n

"The Mixie Skirt is even cuter in person. I haven't worn it to ride yet, thus 4 stars. I'm optimistic about the comfort and wash based on its appearance. Try it out!! It runs true to size."

— Kristi (4/5)

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt does not include a padded liner — it is a cover-up rather than a standalone padded bottom, and the liner is sold separately. This matters because you can't rely on the Mixie Ultra alone for on-bike comfort during a ride. Riders who want to pedal in it should pair it with the Mixie Bike Liner, which is built to work with the Mixie family. If you'd rather have an all-in-one piece, a skort with a built-in chamois is a different solution.

The Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt is the more substantial member of the Mixie cover-up family. It uses a two-layer bonded fabric that gives it more structure and a more polished look than the standard wrap-style Mixie Bike Skirt, and it closes with a snap at the side slit rather than a simple wrap. Riders who want a lighter, simpler cover-up tend to prefer the standard Mixie Bike Skirt, while those who want more body and a dressier feel for travel or everyday wear lean toward the Mixie Ultra.

The Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt suits riders who want a structured, elegant cover-up to pull on over cycling shorts or a liner. It's designed for off-bike versatility — a quick cover for sightseeing on a bike trip, or something to wear poolside when you'd rather not be in just a swimsuit. The bonded fabric gives it more substance than a simple wrap, so it reads as a real skirt off the bike. It works best for riders who already own or plan to buy a separate padded liner for the riding portion.

Yes — the Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt has a side slit with a snap closure that unsnaps to give you pedaling mobility, so the more substantial bonded fabric doesn't restrict your legs. A contoured waistband with mesh lining also helps with moisture transfer when you're moving. Keep in mind the Mixie Ultra is a cover-up without its own chamois, so for comfortable riding you'll want a padded liner such as the Mixie Bike Liner underneath. The skirt handles coverage and style; the liner handles the saddle comfort.

If you want a single garment with a chamois sewn in, the Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt isn't the right fit — it's a cover-up that requires a separate liner for on-bike comfort. Riders who want an integrated solution are better served by a skort with a built-in chamois, such as the Indie Bike Skort for feminine fitness and moderate rides, or the Rebel Bike Skort for higher-performance, all-day riding. The Mixie Ultra earns its place when you specifically want a versatile cover-up for both riding and off-bike wear.

Because the Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt is a cover-up without a built-in chamois, you'll need a separate padded bottom for riding. The Mixie Bike Liner is designed to pair with the Mixie family and gives you the chamois support the skirt doesn't provide on its own. This two-piece approach is part of the appeal: you get saddle comfort from the liner while the Mixie Ultra adds a structured, elegant layer you can keep on for sightseeing or poolside time after the ride.

The Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt provides roughly knee-length coverage, measuring about 14.5 inches at the front and 16.75 inches at the center back in a size medium — similar coverage to the standard Mixie Bike Skirt. That length makes it practical as a cover-up over cycling shorts or a liner, giving you a put-together look off the bike. The snap-closure side slit keeps that coverage intact while standing or walking, then unsnaps for pedaling clearance when you're riding.

Choose the Mixie Ultra Bike Skirt when you want more substance and a dressier look than a basic wrap. Its two-layer bonded fabric holds its shape and feels more structured, and the snap closure at the side slit gives you more flexibility of use than a simple wrap style. If your priority is instead the lightest, most packable option in the Mixie family, the standard Mixie Bike Skirt is the better match. The Mixie Ultra rewards riders who want their cover-up to work as a genuine travel-and-everyday skirt.
