Q&A

Questions & Answers

No. The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top is cut specifically for shorter frames, measuring 2 inches shorter in the body and 1.5 inches shorter in the sleeves than Terry's standard-length Soleil tops. This matters because a standard-length top on a shorter torso can bunch at the waist and extend past the wrists. The Soleil Flow LS Petite scales those proportions down so the hem sits where it should and the sleeves end at the right point, giving riders 5'4" and under a cleaner, more comfortable fit.

The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top is built for riders 5'4" and under, or anyone with a shorter torso, who wants full arm coverage that's actually proportioned for their frame. Rather than being a smaller version of the standard cut, it's shortened 2 inches in the body and 1.5 inches in the sleeves. If you've found regular long sleeve jerseys hang long in the body or swallow your hands, the Soleil Flow LS Petite is designed to solve exactly that proportion mismatch while delivering UPF 50+ sun coverage.

Yes. The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top offers full UPF 50+ protection, the same sun coverage as the standard Soleil line. It's made from an 88% recycled micro-polyester and 12% spandex blend that's lightweight, moisture-wicking, and antimicrobial. For riders who want full arm coverage specifically to shield their skin on sunny rides, that combination keeps you protected without trapping heat. It's a warm-weather sun-protection top, not a cold-weather thermal layer, so reach for it when sun exposure is the concern rather than warmth.

If you're taller than 5'4" or have a longer torso, the Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top will likely feel short in both the body and the sleeves, since it's cut 2 inches shorter in the body and 1.5 inches shorter in the sleeves than standard. Riders wanting standard-length proportions are better served by the Soleil Flow Long Sleeve Bike Top or the Soleil Long Sleeve Bike Top, which deliver the same UPF 50+ sun protection in a full-length cut suited to average and taller frames.

The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top has a relaxed fit that's been scaled down for shorter riders rather than simply shrunk from the standard pattern. That distinction matters: a smaller version of a standard cut keeps the same proportions and still hangs long, while the Soleil Flow LS Petite adjusts the body and sleeve length to match a shorter torso. The result is an easy, non-compressive feel that moves with you without excess fabric pooling at the waist or past the wrists.

Yes. Although the Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top is designed for cycling, with rear pockets and a riding-friendly cut, its relaxed fit and UPF 50+ fabric make it work well for a range of warm-weather activities off the bike. Riders who want one top for cycling and everyday sun protection appreciate that versatility. The lightweight, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial fabric holds up whether you're riding, hiking, or simply out in the sun, all with the petite proportions built for shorter frames.

The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top is a lightweight, moisture-wicking sun-protection top, not a thermal layer. Its UPF 50+ fabric is built for sun protection in a lightweight package, not to insulate in the cold. If your concern is riding in chilly conditions, a brushed thermal option like the Corso Thermal Bike Jersey, or a temperature-regulating merino option such as the Merino Bike Jersey, will serve you far better than the Soleil Flow LS Petite.

The Soleil Flow LS Petite LTD Bike Top is made from an 88% recycled micro-polyester and 12% spandex blend that's moisture-wicking and antimicrobial, qualities that respond well to gentle, regular laundering. Washing in cool water and avoiding high heat helps preserve the fabric's stretch and the integrity of its UPF 50+ protection over time. Keeping the fabric clean also supports its antimicrobial performance, so the top stays fresh across repeated warm-weather rides and the everyday activities it's well suited to.
