Wonderful Shoes!

"Shoes fit well and look great!"

— James S. (5/5)

Good shoes so far

"These are my 2nd pair of Sidis. I loved my first pair which were a different style and had the adjustable buckle. I gave these a 4 stars because of where the upper strap comes across the top of my foot. It seems to be very stiff and after about 15 miles, it becomes very uncomfortable. I don't want to loosen it too much because I'm afraid my heel might start to slip. I've only worn them twice so I am hoping the strap will soften and have a little more give to it over time. They are also geared toward warmer weather (which is in the description) as they have perforations in the leather and the top part has openings between the straps so you feel the air flow through. I don't ride in extremely cold weather so I am hoping my feet will stay warm enough with wool socks and booties on."

Cool & comfortable

"I don't usually write reviews, but these shoes deserve a shout out. I thought for sure I'd be sending them back because they wouldn't fit. Happily, they did. I would call them minimalist, they are open and airy. Perfect for Summer riding. Expensive, yes, but cool and comfortable. I call them my ruby slippers. Worth the money, in my opinion."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi are built around 3-bolt road cleats, the standard system used with road clipless pedals. If you ride road clipless pedals, they're a straightforward match. This also means they aren't compatible with 2-bolt mountain or SPD-style cleat systems. Before choosing the T-5 Air, confirm your pedals use 3-bolt cleats. If most of your riding is off-road or gravel on a 2-bolt setup, a different shoe will serve you better.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi were originally intended for triathlon, but they work equally well for road riding and indoor training. Their light weight and carbon sole make them efficient for road efforts, while the quick-adjusting straps suit the fast transitions triathlon demands. If you split your time between triathlon, road rides, and indoor sessions, the T-5 Air covers all three without needing a separate pair for each discipline.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi suit riders on road clipless pedals using 3-bolt cleats who want a light, stiff, carbon-soled shoe. They're a strong fit for triathletes who value quick transitions, road cyclists chasing efficient power transfer, and anyone doing structured indoor training. With a women-specific fit from Sidi, they're designed to match the shape of a woman's foot, which matters for comfort and security over longer road efforts.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi use hook-and-loop straps that are fast to secure and release. This matters most in triathlon, where every second in transition counts, but it's also convenient for everyday road riding and indoor sessions where you just want to get set up and go. The straps are described as speedy, easy, and secure, so you get a reliable hold without fiddling with dials or ratchets.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi are built for road and triathlon use with 3-bolt cleats and a smooth carbon sole, which isn't designed for walking on loose terrain or clipping into mountain pedals. If most of your riding is gravel or off-road, consider the Aertis MTB | Gravel Cycling Shoes instead, which use a recessed 2-bolt system and a sole suited to mixed-surface riding and dismounts where you'll be walking.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi are an Italian carbon-soled shoe aimed at serious road and triathlon riders who want light weight and efficient power transfer. If you're newer to clipless road riding or want a simpler entry into the category without a carbon sole, the Cadet II Bike Shoe is worth considering first. The T-5 Air earns its place when stiffness, low weight, and quick transitions genuinely matter to your riding.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi have a carbon sole, which stays stiff under pedaling load so more of your effort goes into the pedal rather than flexing the shoe. For road cyclists and triathletes pushing sustained power, that efficiency adds up over a ride. The carbon construction also keeps the shoe incredibly light, reducing the weight on each pedal stroke. If efficient power transfer is a priority, the T-5 Air delivers it alongside a women-specific fit from Sidi.

The T-5 Air Road Cycling Shoes from Sidi are built on a women-specific fit, meaning they're shaped to match the proportions of a woman's foot rather than a scaled-down men's last. This matters because a shoe that fits your foot shape properly holds your heel securely and avoids pressure points, which affects both comfort and how well you transfer power. For road and triathlon riders spending real time clipped in, a fit that suits your foot makes longer efforts more comfortable.
