Reviews

Love the light blue color

"Love the color (light blue). I was concerned the light color would show all the cellulite in my rubanesque thighs. If it does, I don’t see it. The waist is super comfortable. I have already worn these biking many times. With a liner, I prefer them a little loser, but I have gained weight. I also prefer about an inch longer length where when I bicycle my knees are not in the sun. I am 5’3” and 135 pounds for reference. Would buy again and perhaps larger size if it came in other colors and on sale."

— Philippa C. (4/5)

Second pair

"These are great bike knickers. Last year I tried to buy my second pair but they sent an item that was very small; this year they are back to the sizing of my previous pair. They are lightweight, stretchy and can be worn on and off the bike trail. The blue color is great too!"

— Darla D. (5/5)

The BTK Bike knickers is great!

"I love the material, love the length and I love the color, a nice shade of blue. The zip pocket on the thigh is permissive for Mt cell phone. I lik that there are no velcro tabs or drawstring. The ONLY issue would be that the waist is just a tad loose, but it's something I can cope with. I'm 5'7" with long legs (34" inseam), and 140 lbs. The large fits great. They are a bit pricey. I won't buy a second pair (black in color) unless I can get them on sale."

— Della W. (4/5)

Loved them so much bought a second pair!

"Bought one pair for a bike trip to southern Utah. Loved them so much ordered a second pair. I wear these without the padded undergarment for just about everything- walking hiking etc. They are lightweight and very comfortable, and I like the relaxed fit. I can move without feeling restricted but they are not super baggy."

— Susan C. (5/5)

Highly recommend

"These are my absolute favorite biking bottoms. The shorts are super soft and silky, the waist band is very comfortable, and the liner super lightweight with just enough padding for a typical ride. The length is perfect, hits just below the knee. I'm 5'3" with a curvy/athletic build and the medium fit me absolutely perfectly."

— Diane (5/5)

Best Bike capris ever

"Love the padded removable liner and the material is just the right amount of stretch. A bit pricey but seems worth it so far."

— Cindy M. (5/5)

In between sizes.

"The material is great. I returned these because they were longer than what was pictured. I got a large and they were too baggy but I think the medium would have been too tight. I did not think they were flattering."

— Richelle R. (2/5)

Like these

"I like the feel of the fabric. I have not tried them biking yet due to cold weather, but I think the padding will be okay for that. I like the elastic easy pull on waist band. The wider leg width seems okay"

— JO F. (4/5)

love the comfort

"I love the lightweight material and the color. Surprisingly they look good on my 5’3” curvy body. I’m going out biking in them for the first time."

— Pip (5/5)

Knicker review

"Fit perfectly. Have not tried riding yet but they are very comfy"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Vista BTK Bike Knicker is sold unpadded, with no built-in chamois or liner, so for comfortable cycling you'll need to pair it with a Terry liner such as the Universal Bike Liner. This suits riders who already own a liner they trust and want a casual woven knicker to wear over it, or who value riding with a liner and wearing the Knicker on its own off the bike.

The Vista BTK Bike Knicker is a below-the-knee bottom with a 16.75 inch inseam, delivering substantially more leg coverage than a standard baggy short. This makes it well suited to cooler temperatures and year-round riding where you want warmth or modesty without moving into full tights. If you prefer a shorter, more ventilated cut for warmer-weather riding, the Rover Bike Short or Vista Unpadded Bike Short offer the same casual aesthetic in a shorter length.

The Vista BTK Bike Knicker is made for trail, gravel, and recreational riders who want extra leg coverage and a non-kit look. With its stretch twill woven fabric, faux-fly stitching, and streamlined pockets, it reads as casual trail wear rather than fitted cycling kit. It works best for riders who already own a liner or want maximum versatility across seasons and activities. The lightweight woven construction suits cooler temps and year-round rides where coverage and freedom of movement matter more than aero performance.

If fitted cycling kit makes you feel exposed, the Vista BTK Bike Knicker offers a different experience. Its relaxed pull-on silhouette and below-the-knee coverage read as regular athletic or trail wear rather than racing gear, so you can ride without feeling like you're on display. The wide 4-way stretch waistband accommodates a variety of body types comfortably. This approachable, generous fit is a genuine reason riders choose it — comfort and confidence are as valid a cycling decision as ride distance.

Yes — the Vista BTK Bike Knicker is designed for versatility. Because it's unpadded, you can wear it without a liner for everyday or trail use, where its woven stretch twill fabric, faux-fly front, and streamlined pockets read as regular athletic wear rather than cycling-specific gear. A zippered leg pocket fits a smartphone. Pair it with a liner when you want to ride, and wear it alone the rest of the time, making it a practical choice for riders who want one bottom covering multiple uses.

The Vista BTK Bike Knicker is built around a wide 4-way stretch pull-on waistband designed to accommodate a variety of body types comfortably. The non-fitted, relaxed silhouette avoids the pressure points of tight kit, and articulated knees with a bonded split hem give freedom of movement in the riding position. For riders who find fitted cycling bottoms restrictive or hard to size, this easy pull-on construction and generous cut make the Vista BTK an accommodating option.

If you want a bottom that's ready to ride straight away, the Vista BTK Bike Knicker isn't the most direct fit. It's sold unpadded, so you'd pair it with a Terry liner before riding. If you'd prefer to avoid liner management entirely, the Actif Bike Knicker and Breakaway Bike Knicker have a chamois built in.

The Vista BTK Bike Knicker is positioned as a trail-rider bottom, with articulated knees, a bonded split hem, and a 4-way stretch waistband that support freedom of movement for trail, gravel, and recreational riding. Its lightweight stretch woven fabric suits cooler temps and year-round rides where mobility and coverage matter. It's less suited to road racing or aero-focused riding — riders doing longer or harder rides who want higher chamois support in a fitted knicker would be better served by the Bella Prima Bike Knicker or Breakaway Bike Knicker.

It comes down to the look and feel you want. The Vista BTK Bike Knicker gives you full cycling functionality — once paired with a liner — in a relaxed, below-the-knee bottom that reads as casual trail wear rather than fitted kit. If you'd prefer a fitted cycling knicker that moves more closely with the body and has a chamois built in, the Actif Bike Knicker is a natural starting point, with the Breakaway Bike Knicker or Bella Prima Bike Knicker as step-ups for longer or harder rides. Choose the Vista BTK when coverage, versatility, and a non-kit aesthetic matter most to you.
