Reviews

Great skirt, “Black Iris”=Navy Blue

"Very comfortable on and off bike. It took me a minute to figure out there were multiple “slots” for the hook closure. The color name is misleading, though. “Black Iris” suggests blue-black. This skirt is navy blue."

— J. H. (5/5)

Size up

"Fit is small compared to sizing guide. Overpriced for what it is. The fabric is quite flimsy and blows up all the time when you’re actually riding at any decent pace on a bike."

— JR (2/5)

Versatile wrapper

"The medium fits me and I am a size 6. I wear it over long underwear or tights when it's too cool out for skorts when I power walk."

— Lisa H. (5/5)

Cute, but runs large

"I wanted to exchange it for the correct size (and paid in advance for the return shipping), but the correct (smaller) size was an additional $17. What?? No thanks!"

— Deborah B. (2/5)

Wrapper Bike Skirt

"Love love love this skirt as it works over tights as well as shorts! But wish Terry would bring back the black black color!!! I need another one but would like to see the black black!!"

— Jan (4/5)

Bike ride

"Easy to pack and put on. Also attractive fit"

— Heather H. (5/5)

Much thinner than it used to be

"I have one that is about 15 years old and wanted another; this skirt is so useful. My only complaints are that it is much thinner than it used to be, and doesn't come in other colors or print. Maybe some folks like the thinner fabric (for coolness) but I'm wary of its durability and doesn't drape as well."

— Terri M. (4/5)

Great skirt for cycling! Love

"Great skirt for cycling! Love the versatility of having a wrap skirt, easy on, easy off. Easy buckle. Really nice lightweight but hardy material. Only thing I don't love is pocket location, definitely awkward, would have preferred back or off to the side. Keeping it but suggest a design change on that!"

— Robin D. (4/5)

Quality is good but fit

"Quality is good but fit is too big--longer than expected and loose on me Bought a small --Im 118 pounds--should have XS or XXS"

— Margaret C. (3/5)

Much Better Choices Available

"I returned my first wrapper bike skirt when the buckle fell off on first washing. Didn't know that would happen every time it was washed. It also come loose as you're wearing it. Worst of all is NO POCKETS!"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Wrapper Bike Skirt is a wrap-style cover-up with no attached chamois or liner, so for on-bike use you'll need to pair it with a separate padded liner such as Terry's Universal Bike Liner. It's designed to go over your cycling shorts or liner rather than replace them. If most of your riding involves wanting coverage before, after, or around short errands, the Wrapper works well once paired with a padded bottom that handles the saddle time.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt is built around portability. Its simple wrap design in recycled stretch woven fabric packs flat into a bike bag and pops on quickly once you're off the bike, so you can add coverage for a coffee stop, lunch, or errand without changing out of your kit. A new low-profile adjustable closure keeps the silhouette clean and stays out of the way. Riders who want a fast, no-fuss cover-up they can stash and forget until they need it tend to appreciate the Wrapper.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt prioritizes fast, simple dressing over complex construction. Its wrap design with a new low-profile adjustable closure system lets you throw it on in seconds without fiddling, and a smooth elastic gusset at the rear waist keeps it comfortable once it's on. Riders who want to move from riding to off-bike coverage without a struggle, or who feel self-conscious walking around in just cycling shorts, find the Wrapper an easy, confidence-building layer to keep on hand.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt suits riders who want a simple, quick-to-pack, quick-to-wear cover-up they can slip on over cycling shorts or a liner once off the bike. It's a long-running favorite built on an understated wrap silhouette in recycled stretch woven fabric, with a front welt pocket and a low-profile closure. It fits best for riders who already own or plan to buy a coordinating padded liner, since the Wrapper itself provides coverage rather than chamois support for the saddle.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt includes a front welt pocket with a Velcro closure, handy for stashing a card or key during an off-bike stop. It measures 17 inches at the center front and 17.75 inches at the center back. That length matters for riders who want a cover-up that feels a bit more substantial and modest when walking around off the bike.

If you want an all-in-one piece with the chamois already built in, a skort serves you better than the Wrapper Bike Skirt, which is a cover-up only. Riders who want feminine aesthetics with all-day saddle support should look at the Rebel Bike Skort, while those wanting a padded skort for fitness and moderate rides may prefer the Indie Bike Skort. Choose the Wrapper when you already ride in your own shorts or liner and simply want a packable layer of coverage on top.

Because the Wrapper Bike Skirt has no attached chamois, you'll want a separate padded liner for on-bike comfort. Terry's Universal Bike Liner is a solid starting point, providing women's-specific chamois support under the skirt so your riding time stays comfortable while the Wrapper handles coverage. This two-piece approach lets you ride on a quality chamois and then simply keep the Wrapper on for off-bike walking, drawing on Terry's long experience building comfort into women's cycling apparel.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt leans understated, with a simple wrap silhouette in recycled stretch woven fabric rather than a bold print statement. Riders who want quiet, versatile coverage that pairs with anything tend to prefer it. If you're drawn to Terry's exclusive custom prints and want a wrap skirt with more visual personality, the Mixie Bike Skirt is the better fit. Both are cover-ups worn over a padded liner, so the main difference comes down to the look you want off the bike.
