2023 Wrapper Update

"I've had your original skirt wrap for several years and still LOVE it. It is jet black and after almost 16 years, it's in perfect condition. I opted to buy a second one to use for a cover up for my pool days. I read all the comments so, I knew it was not going to be jet black. It's much more a graphite grey. I too would like to see the description color changed so others are not caught off guard. I know many of my cycling friends and I would love it if you'd come out with other colors. Traditionally, we wear black cycling pants/shorts to ride but, we also enjoy a good "pop" of color to go with our tops. Overall, I haven't found ANY other detail that is different from my original wrap. Please keep making these for those of us that REALLY appreciate these. It makes it so nice once your off your trike/bike when poking about. Keep up the great quality!"

ebony is not black, not the same quality as previous versions

"Ebony, to me, is black. If you're selling GREY, then say grey. This is NOT black and I wish I'd have checked the review below to learn this so that I didn't waste my time ordering. I had a previous version of this skirt (just lost it at the beach) and it was black, the material was nicer, the velcro was better quality and the snap plastic closure thing was far, far easier to use....I had a really hard time with this new version not being able to open it. I would pay more for this skirt if it were 1. black and 2. the original good quality. Can't believe I lost mine and now I'm out. Why do companies do this? Cheapen out on stuff after making it nicely for awhile? Sorry, Terry, but you earned this review."

Old favorite, but "ebony" is def not black

"Call it off black, call it charcoal, call it blue brown black but make it super clear that im this skirt is not black. Long time wearer of this product. Pretty disappointed that this off black brown blue charcoal color is the only option available and that this color name is not clear."

L O V E it

"Great fit. Looks made for me, not just a sized up style designed for a smaller body. I'm 2x and need the leggings for the hiking and biking. I am very aware of the body shame from those who don't struggle with their weight and the wrap is easy to put on before heading into a public building or just part of a regular outfit for the day."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus is a wrap-style skirt with no chamois, so it isn't a standalone riding bottom. It's designed as a feminine layer and off-bike cover-up that you wear over a padded liner or shorts. If you're expecting built-in padding for ride comfort, this skirt won't provide it on its own. Pair it with a padded bottom such as the Essential Bike Liner Plus, and the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus gives you coverage and a skirt silhouette on and off the bike.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus is for plus-size riders who want a feminine skirt silhouette in extended sizing and an easy cover-up for off-bike moments. It's made from lightweight recycled stretch woven fabric and packs down small enough to carry in a bike bag, so it's ideal if you value versatility and want to slip into a skirt during a cafe stop or errand. Worn over a padded liner or shorts, the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus adds coverage and style without replacing your padded layer.

Because the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus has no chamois, you'll want a padded layer underneath for riding comfort. The Essential Bike Liner Plus is a natural pairing, giving you cycling-appropriate chamois support in extended sizing under the skirt. If you prefer a more adaptable padded base, the Universal Bike Liner Plus works too. The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus then provides the feminine silhouette and coverage on top, letting you combine the comfort of a liner with the look of a skirt on and off the bike.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus falls in the 9-inch-plus length category, measuring 17 inches at the center front and 17.75 inches at the center back. That gives riders who want a more modest, feminine layer real skirt-length coverage over their liner or shorts. The wrap silhouette drapes over your cycling bottom both on and off the bike, so if coverage is important to how comfortable you feel riding, the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus delivers it in extended sizing.

The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus uses a wrap-style construction with an adjustable buckle closure, so the fit is forgiving and easy to dial in across extended sizing. A smooth elastic gusset at the rear waistband adds stretch and keeps the skirt comfortable while you're seated on the bike. The recycled stretch woven fabric with spandex moves with you. For riders who find standard sizing tricky, the adjustable wrap design of the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus accommodates a range of fits without feeling restrictive.

Yes. The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus is made from lightweight recycled stretch woven fabric that's quieter and lighter than many cover-ups, and it packs down compact enough to carry in your bike bag. That makes it well suited to riders who want the option of a feminine layer when they stop for coffee, run errands, or finish a ride, without committing to wearing it the whole time. You can tuck the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus away and slip it on over your liner or shorts whenever you want extra coverage.

If you want a skirt with the chamois built right in rather than a wrap-over layer, the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus isn't the right fit, since it has no padding and must be worn over a liner or shorts. Riders who prefer an all-in-one padded skirt should look to a skort with integrated chamois and check the skort options for extended sizing availability. Choose the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus when you want the flexibility of a separate cover-up layered over your own padded bottom.

Both the Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus and the Mixie Skirt Plus are plus-size wrap skirts worn over a liner or shorts rather than standalone padded bottoms, so the choice comes down to style preference. The Wrapper Bike Skirt Plus emphasizes lightweight, quiet recycled stretch woven fabric with an adjustable buckle closure and packable design. If you prefer a different wrap silhouette in extended sizing, the Mixie Skirt Plus is worth comparing. Either way, plan to pair your choice with a padded layer for riding comfort.
